    9800X3D reviews are out now, TLDR:
    Code:
    HUB, 14 game average, 4900 @ 1080p, FPS uplift compared to:

    7800X3D -> +11%
     14900K -> +27%
      9700X -> +29%
       285K -> +33%

    TPU, FPS per Watt:

    7800X3D: 4.3
    9800X3D: 3.3 (yes, it got worse)
      9700X: 2.6
       285K: 2.0
     14900K: 1.3

    Pretty wild CPU for gaming. 33% faster while being 65% more power efficient per frame vs Intel's newest gen is mind boggling. Reminds me of Intel Core vs AMD Bulldozer times.

    The latest Intel's are very bad at gaming.
    At this point it's basically a competition with its previous gen AMD's 7000s.

    Ryzen AI Max reviews are up now and the tech is pretty impressive. The CPU hasn't radically changed, but the iGPU now sits between a 4060 - 4070. The CPU is trading blows with the M4 Pro, the winner is determined by which platform is more heavily optimised. The M4 still wins on power consumption. If this is more than a one-off tech demo, then the future is bright for AMD.. and another blow for Intel, who now have to face desktop level performance from iGPUs in the laptop segment (and possibly in small desktop form factors too).

    iGPUs are still rather overrated,
    for laptops and other portables they may be relevant, but for any serious work which needs a desktop workstation, it's just an added cost of useless component

    I can just imagine what will happen if such a cpu hits the desktop with all bells and whistles and optimized accordingly for high performance. Oh lolz, even TSMC and Broadcom together won't save Intel then (that's a thing going on right now actually, but nothing substantial has been confirmed yet)...
