friend of mine insists on abelton for a project we are working on , and ive had nothing but headaches with it regarding x32 and jbridge.
we both have fl studio and im trying to get him to at least use that for our sound design using ancient vst as per our concept and tool usage.

for me fl is just simple since i can straight up email him fst files for anything instead of a full flp file , along with it being my main daw since 7.

When you ever recorded something, you can not know what you are actually saying there - what is more often the case then not.

Any electrically amplified music is unnatural and therefore not music. Discuss.

You mean everything we make and other living creatures produce are unnatural?

 

I see it differently. The term unnatural comes from nature, everything that is made of wood is from the tree and therefore from nature, if you build a guitar whose basic material is wood, it is very natural. Even the steel for the guitar sides comes from the earth, from nature. And the petroleum used to make the plastic for the bodies of rhythm machines comes from Mother Earth.

Being creative - building musical instruments yourself

In the first grade at school, we made our first rice shaker, our first musical instrument, out of a yogurt cup with paper and a rubber band. Anyone who can make music with a converted garden hose or drum on an old washing machine is a musician.

 

So everything is natural ...

 

Sound is a propagating wave going through a fluid medium such as the atmosphere. What makes the wave doesn't matter, when the wave hits your ear it's natural. Whether or not the wave is pleasant or not is a different philosophical argument which you're welcome to have but I don't feel like it participating in it.

 

Except working with notes

 

Besides the tuning machines and strings, I made this by my own hand. It's contructed from local Spruce, Plum and Walnut with a cow bone nut and saddles (three seperate piece for six strings like on a good Telecaster, and I killed the cow for the bone with my own teeth ). It was a fantastic learning experience...and it has a very natural sound.

 

So you say there are:

• Unnatural sounds
• Less natural sounds
• Moderately natural sounds
• More natural sounds

???

 

None of the above!

The guitar sounds like dead trees, a murdered cow and a petroleum byproduct...naturally!

 

That makes me like it more

 

Btw sell those guitars. They'd go. It's the tusks! And the little eyes. I'm sad that they went away when the neck went on. You need to find a way to give that guitar little eyes.
