I decided to upgrade to this version and I'm Pissed off to the highest level of all pisstivity!
None of my Waves are working. This has been my biggest fear after I finally got a working version on my MacBook Pro M1.
The last version I was able top get working was the RET release. And it's been a while so I can't remember if it was version 14 or 15.
Someone please help me.

Dude come on now. I absolutely refuse to not take advantage of new products. And besides you can't ruin a computer by simply upgrading. It's a man made object that can be repaired.

 

i guess i can help you out.

1. Calm the eff down.
2. uninstall your entire waves
3. download the stuff you want
4. use the guseppe patch.

 

You already asked on sister site and didn't get anyone confirming there is a problem with it. I looked on a different page and many people downloaded it and no complaints there either. Did you actually get rid of the old one cleanly first? If you had a prior installation, and did not; you can end up chasing your tail.

But also, remember that when you upgrade, new versions of plugins are installed. Old ones get replaced. They will probably not carry over any code signatures. So you would need to codesign them all again. This part is a guess.

 

If you install something new you have to remove the old one completely, otherwise you will have problems.

Uninstall via Waves Central:

1. Quit all audio apps.
2. Launch the Waves Central application:
   • Windows: via the desktop shortcut or Start Menu > All Programs > Waves Central.
   • Mac: Applications > Waves Central.
3. Log into Waves Central using your Waves account information.
4. Go to the Settings tab.
5. Under Maintenance, select the products/version you wish to uninstall in the dropdown menu, and click Uninstall.

Uninstall unused individual plugins manually:

1. Quit all audio apps.
2. Navigate to the relevant plugin version folder:
   • Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V15, (or whichever version is installed on your device, V14-V9).
   • Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > Waves > Plug-Ins V15, (or whichever version is installed on your device, V14-V9).
3. The plugin file you wish to remove will be named after the plugin, in this format: [PluginName].bundle. For example, the plugin file for Reel ADT will be named Reel ADT.bundle.
4. Delete the plugin file/s you wish to remove (or move to a backup folder).
5. If you’re using a host application that uses Audio Unit plugins (Logic Pro, MainStage, GarageBand, Digital Performer, Luna), follow these steps:
   1. Go to Macintosh HD > Applications > Waves > WaveShells V15 (or whichever version is installed on your device) and run the Waves AU Reg Utility.
   2. Click on Let’s Go.
   3. If asked to Locate the Waves Plugins Folder, direct to Macintosh HD > Applications > Waves > Plug-Ins V15, (or whichever version is installed on your device, V14-V9).
   4. If there’s more than one WaveShells folder, repeat these steps on any Waves AU Reg Utility.
6. If the plugins you uninstalled still appear in your host application, rescan the host for plugins according to the instructions here.

 

Well.... The one important thing I didn't do was to uninstall previous Waves. I also started using an older method of patching instead of using GUSEPPE.
So this time I went back & did this and now all is right with the world.

Some time ago i also wrote an Article here, how to get Cosmos Running. Thats the only Thing Guseppe Patch can't do.

Also: when a new Waves Version comes out. I install over the previous and PAtch again.

Its Working.

For Cosmos i first applied the Guseppe Patch and then i did some RET. ---> Result = Fully Working.
