It is IN the Nexus library folder once unpacked.

 

While installing Nexus 5 you are asked for the directory where to install the library. That directory will contain the Nexus library folder where you will need to place your (Nexus 5 factory library/expansions )i.e the Nexus presets samples etc. There also will be the library update locator.exe. Just click it. It will link that folder to the plugin. So that the plugin will be able to detect that particular folder containing the samples and presets.

I NEED SOME HELP WITH NEXUS 5, i see everyone saying install sucessful and have moved on the next stage which is adding skins but for all the versions i've downloaded (Recently 5.1.9) my macbook crashes ( OS Mojave 10.14) i'm not sure if i need a newer OS or i'm doing something wrong

 

Nexus need 10.13.

Sir, do you mean to say a lot of factory presets doesn't play any sounds. Please kindly give details what your exact problem is and presets from which factory expansion if any are causing you what type of problems. A screenshot will be of great help if possible.

Hello,

Installed nexus 5 and its facory library content.
On when selecting several presets, I got the following message error :

"A file for the preset -- arp (1) is missing! There will be no sound! Please use the reFX Cloud app to verify and repair Factory Presets."

Can someone help me to fix this problem.

Also another question:

How and where do you install the Nexus 5 & 4 expansions ????

This happens because certain presets use soundsource from multiple expansions beside their own.

The above case is an example where beside its own soundsource that particular preset also used a soundsource form any of the earlier released expansion,
My best guess would be most likely from any of the earlier released factory/rom extension...
I think you should at least install the original xp factory library, xp rom, xp rom extension, xp rom ext 3 & 4 to run Nexus 5 .

BTW if you already have those installed and still getting error messages than its most likely due to faulty preset files. The preset files should be able to detect all its necessary soundsource needed to play the sounds from any of the expansion folders (if available) but due to some problem it ain't able to do so.

For this what you can do is check the layer menu, which will show the sounds which any preset is using, check which sound is missing, then search the name of that missing sound file in Nexus sample search. If you found that soundsource in some expansion folder, then simply copy that sound from that folder to the present preset folder

Reload plugin...you are good to go..

Otherwise install all 229GB of earlier released expansion. You won't get such messages anymore.

And now to install Nexus 4 & 5 expansions assuming they don't come with installer,...
1. Then unpack them.(It will contain the Preset, NKS & Sample folders)
2. Then place the folder containing the samples (eg :- xp***) into the folder containing your factory library expansion.
3. Then simply copy the 'Presets' & ' NKS' folder and paste them in the corresponding Nexus 5 library directory (it will also contain a preset and NKS folder) and merge them if asked

Reload plugin...you are good to go..

Im having an issue with Nexus 5 in FL Studio. When I clone a Nexus instance, the preset browser doesn’t show the preset from the original instance. The sound itself stays the same, but the browser jumps back to the first preset Can someone help?

 

Save your preset in Nexus 5, Give it a name, example: My Nexus Trance Preset, it will then be saved in your Nexus " User Presets" folder and then recall it.

or

Save your preset from the first instance using your DAW, when you open the second instance, load your saved preset using the DAW.
Look at the attached pictures 1-2-3.

It is always a good idea to save your edited presets with the DAW, FL Studio state file (*.fst), so that you can use them again and again and also use them permanently. See the attached picture 4.

Just open a ticket and report that behaviour.

 

Make sure the Nexus does not have access to the internet.

 

Mine is 271 gb, what are you missing?

New here and I've been able to install Nexus 5.1.1 I believe but have also seen a few of you talk about 5.1.9 and a sister site.

If I may inquire, what site might that be?
