Hey everyone! I’m trying to improve my skills in songwriting and arrangement, but I’m struggling with a few key aspects:

    1. Harmonizing vocals – How do you approach vocal harmonies? Are there any specific exercises, techniques, or resources that helped you understand how to build them effectively?

    2. Finding chord progressions for vocals – When I come up with a melody, I sometimes struggle to find the right chord progression to support it. Are there any rules or methods that make this easier? Do you start with the bass, general chord shapes, or some other approach?3. Matching rhythm to vocals – Sometimes I feel like my vocal phrasing doesn’t sit well in the rhythm of the song. How do you find the right groove for a vocal line?

If there are training courses on sister site, please give a title

Practice, practice, practice, practice and practice again, you need more practice, and time. you should concentrate on what you hear and not on what you have read. You will develop a feeling for it yourself. You don't need training or courses.

First, just take a simple rhythm, try to understand the tempo, try to adapt the speed of the rhythm to your individual voice, if it doesn't fit, sing faster or slower, you have to feel it and practice, then you will find out which tempo suits you.

Adapting the rhythm to the singing is the worst idea. Don't overexert yourself, otherwise you will give up at some point, small steps but continuously, sing as often as possible. First simple pieces - 2 to 3 chords, then increase at some point.

Then you can do a few chords or a bass line and try to hit the note. If you prefer to sing low, do low chords. If you have a high voice, do high chords. Press the repeat button and find out what range you can sing.
