Is RipX DAW PRO the best stem separator? If not, which is better?

Tried that program once, and wasn't quite impressed with the results.
Ultimate Vocal Remove (UVR) with the newest demucs and MDX models does a better job IMO for free.
New major models are released every couple of months too.

im not sure if its the best, but it is definitely up there. It has a great algorithm, and has many additional features that other stem separating programs do not.

Not necessarily the best out there, but quite capable. Don't know about this new version. They should have updated models integrated in the new version. Will test it out.

Steinberg's Spectrallayer does a fairly good job also with difficult sources.

UVR is free, super fast on a decent GPU, and produces superior results to everything else with the right algorithm.

I wish devs would stop bloating their software with mediocre stem separation capabilities (RX, Studio One, Fruity Loops, etc).

Tried a few, all are bound to have some artifacts, usually involves a bit of cleaning up after, but from my experience, I'd put them in this order:
    1 - Spectralayers Pro 11
    2 - RipX
    3 - Izotope RX Advanced
4 - all other freebies online etc

A update is out. Any new thoughts? I'm mostly concerned with drum separation. RipX DAW PRO vs. UVR?
