Thanks for the insight! We really appreciate the comparison—Acustica has been in this space for a long time, and seeing Genesis stack up (and in some cases surpass) them is a huge compliment.

That said, we encourage everyone to judge Genesis based on where it’s going, not just where it’s been. Our new Series 5 Tech is a game-changer, and early adopters are already going crazy over the three new test compressors we’ve been rolling out. This is just the beginning—we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with this technology.

Genesis isn’t just about capture quality—it’s about flexibility, workflow integration, and pro-audio-grade performance. And while others are still gearing up to enter this space, we’re already delivering cutting-edge advancements that are changing the game.

We love the competition because it pushes innovation forward, but if you’re waiting for the best, Genesis is already here, and it’s only getting better.

Appreciate the discussion and looking forward to hearing more thoughts as the tech evolves!

The only latency you need to consider is your soundcard’s latency. Genesis itself introduces zero plugin delay compensation (PDC) latency, making it ideal for real-time tracking. In fact, one of our beta testers—a professional vocalist—tracks with Genesis regularly, just like you would with UAD hardware.

Some older profiles did exhibit minor latency, but that was due to processing errors, not the core technology. We’ve since refined our process, ensuring that Genesis runs as efficiently as possible.

Regarding CPU usage, High-Quality Deep Learning models do require processing power, but Genesis is optimized for efficiency. For reference, my i9 system runs at just 3% CPU usage with four of the highest-quality profiles loaded at 48k in Reaper. Performance may vary depending on the DAW—some, like Cubase, don’t handle this type of processing as well due to how they manage audio internally.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any more details.

Yes! Our latest Series 5 technology represents a major breakthrough in capturing true dynamic, time-varying compression—not just distortion and frequency shaping. For the first time, we’ve achieved near-analog compression behaviour using advanced black-box modelling techniques, setting Genesis apart from traditional Neural Amp Modeling (NAM).

We were the first to successfully implement this with WaveNet NAM, and now we’ve expanded that approach into our own custom-engineered solution. Series 5 takes deep learning-based modelling to the next level, allowing us to capture not just harmonic response, but also the complex attack, release, and nonlinear dynamic characteristics that define real analog compressors.

This is not just another static tone-matching algorithm—it’s real-time, reactive compression modeling that moves and breathes just like the hardware it’s based on. Early adopters of our three test compressors are already blown away by how natural and musical they feel, and this is just the beginning.

Genesis is pushing the limits of what’s possible in pro audio modelling, and Series 5 is a game-changer for anyone looking for the most realistic, responsive emulations available.

Hope that answers your question! Let me know if you’d like any more details.

We totally get where you’re coming from! The razor/razorblade model works well for some products, but Genesis is much more than just a simple ‘player’—it’s a powerful pro-audio tool built for serious mixing and production.

We’ve spent 18 months developing Genesis, refining the tech to go beyond static playback. With our latest Series 5 breakthrough, we’re now modelling true analog compression behaviour, something no other NAM-based system has done before. The ability to route, process, and even capture your own hardware makes Genesis more than just a loader—it’s an essential tool in its own right.

We’ve also been mindful of making it accessible. That’s why we:

    • Offer a 30-day free trial so you can fully test Genesis before committing.
    • Include a free pack of high-quality profiles so you can start using it immediately.
    • Continuously updated our historic profile packs for free as our tech improved.
The reality is that a free Genesis model wouldn’t allow us to continue pushing the technology forward with the same level of R&D, improvements, and user-driven updates. But we love hearing this kind of feedback because it helps us shape future offerings!

Appreciate your support, and we’re excited to hear what you think once you dive in!

Absolutely! The recent improvements in NAM training techniques have been a big step forward for reduction of aliasing. The work that’s been shared in the Neural Amp Modeler group has been great for the community, and it’s awesome to see more people diving into the profiling process.

That said, Genesis has taken things even further with our latest Series 5 tech, which doesn’t just refine the training process but also introduces true dynamic compression modelling—a game-changer for capturing not just tone, but time-varying behaviour like attack, release, and nonlinear dynamics.

We’ve been deep in this space for over 18 months, refining our capture methods, processing pipeline, and playback engine to go beyond standard NAM implementations. And what’s exciting is that Genesis isn’t limited to just pre-made profiles—you can capture your own gear and take full advantage of these advancements in real-time tracking and mixing.

It’s definitely a great time to be involved in this space, and the tech is evolving fast! Have you had a chance to try out any of the newer training methods with your own profiles? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Appreciate the honest feedback! Genesis is designed to push the boundaries of analog realism in the plugin world, so it's great to hear that it’s delivering a level of sound you haven't experienced before.

Regarding the artifacts on the 2057_Distressor_Slowatt_FastRel_Pultec60Hz BassTrick_16KHighs Some older profiles were made before we implemented our latest Series 5 tech, which dramatically improves capture accuracy, dynamics, and aliasing reduction. We’re continually refining our methods, and newer profiles should sound even more natural and transparent. Check out the discord channel (link below) where there are already a couple of series 5 compressor emulations to check out!

As for pricing—we totally get that free plugins are appealing, but Genesis isn’t just a player—it’s a full-fledged pro-audio platform with deep routing, real-time processing, and industry-first modelling advancements. We’ve spent 18 months developing it to ensure it meets the needs of serious engineers and producers, and we’re committed to pushing it even further.

I'm buzzing to hear that you find the analog realism convincing—this is just the beginning! Keep an eye out for updates, and let us know if there are specific things you’d like to see improved
