    Thank you.
The sound quality in the video is bad so I can't tell, but is this the same sound quality like a Rhodes piano?

yes, its a modern rhodes without the hassles of all the analog circuitry that goes out of whack when traveling with it. Its based on a raspberry pi. There's no dialogue in the build video, he just shows how he built it all in a rental apartment in Canada whilst on a project from China. The music at the end at about 11:38 is from this "electric Piano" he built in the video. sound quality is fine on my end, you might want to check your quality settings in the playback window on youtube and up your quality settings...

The real meat and potatoes is in the comments by the builder.

Here's a cut n paste of what he summarized about the project:

Building An "Electric Piano" Keybed: Fatar TP/100LR Pianoteq on Raspberry Pi 400

Thought about buying a Crumar Seven so I could put a Hammond SK1 on top, but eventually decided to build my own.
4 of my favorite Pianoteq EP sounds and 1 upright patch, along with all the controls I need to adjust on the fly.

Even a dimwit can see this is a much more PRACTICAL alternative to bringing and setting up a tiered keyboard stand, PC, charger, laptop stand, midi controller, and browsing through your settings with a trackpad at every single gig ;)

No, it's not a true electric piano, hence the quote marks. ‪@deancoyle‬ is slowly and steadily building one, check him out.

If you want to run Pianoteq on a RBPi, there are plenty of guides on the Modartt forums. Tweak according to your taste :) Similar builds and useful resources here: https://www.doepfer.de/Controller_Exa... http://www.ucapps.de/ https://pianoclack.com/forum/ (thanks ‪@CyberGene‬) http://midibox.org/forums/ https://forum.pianoworld.com/ https://forum.modartt.com/

Lastly, if you build your own keyboard after seeing this, no matter what form it may take, please do share, I'd love to see.
