    That's kinda lovelycore to me.

    I've never heard the term "sadcore" before.... the bands mentioned were lumped into the "shoegaze" genre before some went the way of "britpop" <shudder>

    I know, "sadcore" is a bit of a silly term ... more often used is "slowcore". I somehow like both of them, prefering "sadcore" because for me the mood is more important than the tempo. Anyway, I really like your modification "lovelycore", it's brilliant :)

    A very 90's video, but a great tune and still very reflective of the times we're living in.

    While not that well known anymore, what members of this band have done since then is most likely more well known (if not by name, then by the music) for sure. Everybody has heard Clint Mansell's "Lux Aeterna" off Requiem for a Dream soundtrack, since it has been used absolutely everywhere for instance.
