For anyone missing previews, here is what I did.

Go to your expansion presets folder, in my case it was synthwave 2.

Rename XP Synthwave 2 to anything else and no XP.

Now, open Nexus and the expansion will now be a folder.
Right click the folder icon and click Generate Previews.

That will create the previews for each preset in a your NKS/Previews directory in folder named the same as the folder you renamed.

Then go back and rename the expansion folder and the previews folder and you're done.

 

Anybody knows how to change-hack the Author name for the Init preset?

Hi all im on Mac Sequoia 15.2. Nexus was working fine on the V.R 5.1.8. Release Until today where i get the "The license for the preset "" is missing
There will be no sound!
Please Use the reFX cloud app to check all your available licenses" whenever i click on lierally any preset. Anyone have the fix? Many thanks

 

In version 5.1.8, there was a time bomb to reset the license. Update the V.R Nexus 5.1.9 version

 

Uhm ... well ...
I can already tell you that older official bought expansions that were extracted by a version of Nexus 2 with the proper Key file work.

However I don't think you can even buy expansions for Nexus without owning a version of the plugin ...

 

A few weeks ago, while I was on the reFX site listening to some Nexus expansions, I heard a preset that was trying to get the sound of ‘I gotta feeling - The black eyed peas’ (at least it remind me that song).
Today I tried to find it again but, unfortunately, I no longer remember the name.
I tried searching through my expansions but could not find anything.

By chance any of you remember the name of the expansion in which that preset is found?

Downloaded Nexus 5.1.8 and it keeps saying that the presets are not found...upon reading on herre it seems to have a timebomb. Can anyone message me and tell me where to get 5.1.9? Thanx in advance.

Hi All. I have Nexus 5 working with Factory content, but some random presets give me "A file for the preset is missing". It's very few, but it seems to be impacting 3rd party expansions as well. Any idea how to fix this? Or how to track down what files are "missing".


Edit: if i go to the Layer tab I can see that it is trying to pull Factory Presets / VMulti14 in this specific patch. If i search my factory library in my mac finder for VMulti14 I see a VMulti14.nxs file from my old Nexus install (nexus 1 or 2? i dont remember). If i just move the old rom folder into the nexus content folder will it work?

Thanks, I got the presets working now, except some random presets cause Ableton to crash immediately when I load them. Any idea on how to track down the issue and fix it?

 

I use Logic and don't know Ableton's file structure...
However, if the problem only occurs with a couple of presets, they may simply be corrupt, so try replacing them. If it happens with many presets then the samples linked to the sound may be missing.

Have you tried reading the previous posts in this thread and see if anyone had the same problem? Or you could also have a look on Google, maybe in other forums have asked about the same problem as yours.
