Based on your enthusiasm, I think you long for nature because software and samples are digital and you have enough of that for the next 100 years. A piece of tree disc with buttons is probably a temptation to buy the thing...!

It could also be that people need more toys to satisfy their innate instinct to play. Most of the time you find that the time to make music is the only limit. In short, we are swimming in a sea of software and the lifeline at the end is the delete key on your keyboard.

Or the longed-for hard drive crash where you then reinstall and decide to install a few more.
Or you carry on as before, filling up your hard drive every day, losing track and not having finished a single song.

But wait, maybe it's not about making new music, but about experiencing or hearing the plugins/virtual software synthesizers.
But more likely it's a hunter/gatherer thing for humans.

I just think it would be unique, espcecially if you had it in public people would be so wowed and intrigured and curous about it. I often watch this guy on a public live webcam app called Meet Me and he's always playing the hand pan/hang drum and people are just mesmprized by it and the soothing sounds it produces.

LOL thats true I have enough samples for 100 years and then some.

Men have to have our toys for sure, just like children but now its grown up toys mostly with motors lol.
