“Recently” I have “rebranded” myself into trance production, and as this is a music genre that requires a relatively large amount of creativity and resources, I find it difficult to understand how to create UK Garage.

What I do know for sure is that the most common denominators are:

• black women singing [main]
• complicated percussion patterns consisting of short samples
  • abundant space between the samples to emphasize the bass
• basses consisting of low-passed square waves in F0-C4 range
  • Hammond organ used most commonly
• frequent notes transposition
• frequent use of effects samples
• TR-909-alike kicks
  • often softly clipped and trimmed
• break-beat
  • often used with “dropout” technique
• usage of vocal delays as “exhausts”
• chopped vocal sections

But it is just the list that doesn't help me with anything, how can I comprehend this more?

well, you need the idea first. You have the tracks and the instruments, that's good. do a 4 bar drum and a basic bass loop and start to jam with the Hammond on top of that. the bass can be a one-note pattern. after couple of minutes, record. rinse and repeat. if u have a vocal samle, jam around the key note. enjoy bro
