Firewall is retained after using Defender Remover as well.

What's the link for Ghost Spectre releases? Might try on a spare laptop I have, but Googling only bring up other sites with outdated versions of ISO files and no links to the official site.

EDIT: Nevermind, found them at https://tech-latest.com/

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Defender will come back everytime you apply a new system update ... so you need to disable windows update as well forever, right ?

It's pretty valid only if your computer is always offline I guess ...

Potentially. But it takes about 2-3 minutes max, and a few seconds if you had the ability to compile a .reg file to do it for you.

with minor updates actually not if you use that defender remover,
if you do major upgrade where things may fundamentally change, then bigger issues may arise anywhere

I use another trick to avoid removing Defender completely.
I use the built-in folder exclusion feature, seems safer to me.

    The mandatory exclusions :

    - temp folder (I use c:\temp instead of standard windows temp)
    - installer folder (c:\installers, where I put the downloaded .rar, .zip etc.. with program installers and where I keep keygen/licences)
    - app folder (c:\audio 'coz my computer if basically audio related and all other software goes there)
    - download folder (q:\download, folder on my USB drive where I put the downloaded software from my internet computer)

Some other system file/folder also need to be excluded (like some very specific file you cant move anywhere else).

This way I dont need to disable Defender while it still remain silent when launching keygen and stuff like that ...

I have noticed that when you disable windows defender and leave that screen open, it will not be enabled again for as long as you keep it open.

Yes, that is the point of disabling it, so that you can work with it without Defender eating your keygen. But since Microsoft wants to protect users from harmful viruses and Trojans etc., Defender is automatically activated the next time you restart.
