    Hi,

I have finished setting up my new laptop. Everything seems to working fine - and than from one moment to the other some (but not all!!!!!!!!) applications could not be opened anymore, e.g. Native Instruments Kontakt, Komplete Kontrol, Adobe etc.

I can only open it as an Admin. Which is obviously a bit of a hazzle all the time.

Interesting, having copied the exe files of Kontakt and Kontrol allows me to open these applications now. The same does not work for Adobe and others. (all legit applications by the way).

    What I have done sofar:
    • Checked the blocked info in the property section. Was not there.
    • Checked the firewall section. No issue.
    • Deleted (with Revo uninstaller) them and reinstalled the applications
    • Powershell unblocking process

But with no success. Any thoughts, recommendations?
I am running Windows 11 Home edition.

    Thanks

it's a combination of Defender, SmartScreen, and other security nonsense in Windows 11,
for me only solution was to use this defender remover utility - https://github.com/ionuttbara/windows-defender-remover
but it's far from ideal as my PC is literally vulnerable now xD
