    Hi everyone,

I’ve been producing music for about 10 years now. I started by making beats for hip-hop/rap groups, but after moving away, I continued producing music on my own. Without rappers to collaborate with, I began exploring more electronic music, diving into artists like Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, Nicolas Jaar, and others.

After finishing my studies, I decided to release my music. Since I have a strong background in graphic design, I tried combining the two under a project called 301. I created reels using my 3D skills and paired them with my solid production experience, hoping that the algorithms or word of mouth would help things take off—but unfortunately, it hasn’t happened yet.

If anyone here has tips on how to share music more effectively or feedback on my approach, I’d love to hear from you. Thanks!

you can find my music here : https://solo.to/301offf

Every day there is more music on the Internet. Every musician is vying for the attention of listeners. In short, the competition is huge. Print funny little flyers with your address and distribute them to friends, blackboards and people in your area.

your best shot is to find a community of people making similar music and befriend them

its kinda generic man, looking at your IG reels: the graphic design, the music like... i would focus on developing your taste more. youre reaching people by the views on your reels; but if youre trying to build a following, this wont do it. it needs more style or emotional substance to stick with people, its lacking both. its like stock images and music, not saying it is; but thats the vibe. all love yo

It kinda feels you're trying to please the algorithm rather than please yourself. I'm saying this looking at how long your tracks last, earlier ones were longer than the 1-2min of the latest ones. (As far as i'm concerned, i'm actively campaigning against this horrendous trend of shorter and shorter tracks for shorter and shorter attention spans...)

I agree with everyone above. What exactly are you trying to reach for musically ? Your tracks are well produced, but what makes them yours and not anyone elses ? They're nice beats, but they don't really stand out by themselves i think. It lacks a unique soul, especially in a genre so popular where everything sounds a bit of the same with just some slightly different sounds.

So whatever the genre you want to go for, you'll probably have to find a (preferably local) community, make friends that organise stuff in the genre, get some connections. Work voluntarily in festivals or parties in the same style. If doors don't want to 'magically' open, you'll need to dig one yourself, and best shot will be to do the work physically, not on the Internet where you'll be reminded you're just a drop in a vast ocean.

But before that, maybe find yourself first, musically and artistically. You can already make stuff that sounds good, that's already more than a lot. Now experiment in art :)
    Glhf bro !
