You should appreciate yourself. Someone who has no problem with switching is really a good person.

Cool Edit Pro 2 will make a comeback and emerge victorious due to the "add analog warmth" option during mixdown.

DAW makers have spent dozens, even hundreds of dollars trying to develop their own alternative but so far it has eluded everyone.

And yes, this is my secret weapon. I vowed to never reveal this to the world but I'm feeling generous today. You're welcome.

A big problem with DAWs is that DAWs are like studio consoles that are made to meet the needs of producers and to some extent sound engineers.
In these DAWs, it is assumed that the user has the necessary musical information and now decides to turn those ideas into music by converting them to sound. These DAWs are just the converter of the idea into the final audio product.
I wish DAWs were developed by musicians or artists from the beginning, because the concerns of musicians are very different from those of producers.
Today's DAWs are not capable of generating musical ideas and developing them in the form of a final musical product, and all responsibility for music production is left to the user. And unfortunately, most users face writer's block due to lack of experience in making music, and neither they can do anything themselves, nor DAW is able to do anything.
In my opinion, there is a need to produce new tools called DMW, which stands for Digital Music Workstation, a new music creation tool that can generate ideas and help the user in all stages of music creation. Unfortunately, it is not possible to build this new tool at the moment because the developers are mostly not strong musicians and are not able to understand and meet the needs of the user in the way I mentioned.
One of the important reasons why our music is not progressing is the lack of new tools. The general idea was that artificial intelligence can do something, but since artificial intelligence is more like an algorithm, it has shown that it cannot do anything special, and the user is still alone in making music.

Stop already. You are talking some much ill misinformation that you are fucking my mind. Every sentence you write makes absolutely no sense. You obviously do it deliberately, being seemingly clueless to who develops daws and what they can or cannot do.
    Trooooooooooll! Just stop.
I wonder why the rest still reply to your taunts.

This new thing you want in your DAW is called 'talent' and unfortunately it not programmable at the moment.

For now I am forced to use Reaper ( please not FORCED).

I was looking for a Digital Audio Workstation that would do what ever the hell I wanted with zero limitations on routing, the only thing missing was VCA controls ( more on that scam later ).

Reaper has had a different approach to audio routing from exposing the VST pins ( no other Daw offers this ) to having no dedicated tracks for buses or sends or groups. The paradigm of all tracks can be whatever you want gives me unlimited routing control and let me now explain explain the most important features in Reaper

My key features for Reaper ( Why I use it)

Any point recording : All tracks have the ability to record what is going through them so for VSTi/VST instruments and effects there is no need for fx "printing" and stopping the project or playback to render as this happens in real time. Right click a track and record what you hear so either midi or wav files are recorded inside the track itself thus on the second playback the VST/VSTi's can be disabled. This is crucial for Guitar FX sims and heavier VSTi's to get off the cuff recordings ( that you regret not having after).

All tracks can be anything : This is what allows Reaper the flexibility on routing since no limits are imposed
Routing and Group Matrix: There is no need to even discuss the importance of this
Before Reaper had VST3 ------VST pins exposure : This is for special routing needs to have sends hit different channels on other tracks Fx ( Side chaining) this can create complex routings which are impossible in Protools or any other Daw for that matter.

And now for the real main reason :

VCA group control this is by far the most sought after feature in any DAW since this cuts down on the faders port control that you need to have. With an 8 fader interface you can control the VCA groups which could also control 40+ tracks, this can not be done with basic groups or folder tracks. The main reason why VCA groups have been omitted on purpose from all Daw's has to do with Mixer hardware vendors as that is a key selling feature of higher end mixers which also can be fader port controllers for Daw's.

Those are my reasons others have others.

I wanted to say that the cause of all these problems in making music is the lack of proper tools. New tools are the only way to improve music because new users can't make defensible music with old tools. The possibility of making new tools is currently not available for the reasons I said, mostly because a lot of thinking has to be done and old developers are not much in the mood to think about these things.

I believe in your words to a large extent, but I prefer to use the word experience instead of talent. Artificial intelligence claims that it can provide users with experiences with some simple clicks, but it mostly uses clandestine copying-technique affairs.
It (AI) combines some music and makes something new, while it has to provide experiences to the music maker. It doesn't do this, and the user can't become an experienced person in making music with this method for the rest of his life.
Experiences should be provided to users in the form of new tools and reach the user's cry at every stage, but the old and current new tools lack this thing.

Meh. Why not BMW. Bullshit Moron Wanker. Your type of workstation.
You are outdoing yourself once again Foster. But no doubt you are one disturbed individual. Seek help.
One more and you are ignored. Please go on, so i get rid of your annoyance.

DAWs use DSP techniques. For the developer of a DAW, only signal management matters. New tools should be music oriented. The right word can be DMP (Digital Music Processor). If the focus of the developers can be changed from the signal side to the music side, it can be said that new tools are emerging.:shalom:

Let me simplify all these discussions in one sentence:
DAW tells you: Just do it, but it doesn't tell you what and how. In other words, DAW does not guide you like a mentor in making music.
If DAWs helped the user in all stages of music making, there would be no need for educational videos and books. We want tools called DMW (Digital Mentor Workstation).:guru:

That's how it works. A piano does not tell you which keys to press and a guitar doesn't tell you which strings to strum. You need to figure it out on your own. I am sorry, but you are being really silly now.

Literally the last thing I want is my DAW "helping" me be creative or "make music". I want that like a sculptor wants a hammer to help him be creative. I swore I wouldn't jump back into this but geezuz.

But how is this a new idea?
So you invented the >16 core cpu.
    That's been done before.
AudioVision was able to do 16 mono tracks in the early nineties. For 32 tracks you took 2 macs running Audiovision. for 48 three macs and so on. For making it one stereo output you took another computer to sum all those aes/ebu outputs into one. That computer was made by AMS Neve and sat together with the macs in an air conditioned room.

Just because you link your rig together by network does not mean it's any different from a system that relies on madi or light pipe or anything else to get the audio data come together.
