Ableton does regularly update old effect devices or replaces them with new version.
I went back in installed older Live versions and saved presets to have access to these.

Here is a list of them:

Autofilter - opens new device, but keeps old settings
Compressor - all older features are still included, im missing Compressor version 1 and 2 from Live 6, which i cant save, since i cant find a working version. I use some older presets from the 6.0.18 installer. I am sure you can load them and save them in the settings you like.
Flanger and Phaser --> merged into Phaser-Flanger device, presets open this device, but use old settings.
Redux --> Redux 2 now, but Redux is still available with the preset.
Ping Pong delay and Simple Delay --> merged into Delay plugin, opens Delay plugin with old settings for both
Chorus --> new version with improvements, preset restores old features
Frequency Shifter --> new version with improvements, preset restores old features
Reverb --> new version with improvements, preset restores old features

    new with version 12.1
Limiter --> new version with improvements, preset restores old features
Saturator --> new version with improvements, preset restores old features

    See attachment.

Thanks Artic, I had been saving some for imaginably the same reasons as I ran across them in older projects, as sometimes old habits and workflows die hard in terms of just knowing what to grab for for certain things... your work here is definitely appreciated, and thanks for sharing!

Thanks, especially for the Chorus that sounds better in its old default setting and the Limiter which has a nice saturation if used in parallel.
Funnily enough some old devices had alternative modes if you right clicked on the header, but I never found any mention about the differences in the manuals.

    Thanks, Arctic.
There was a Reddit thread about the legacy comp being better at sidechaining because the new one had clicking artifacts with fast attack settings but I couldn't reproduce it, hopefully that's fixed.

Thanks! - Any chance you could please include the pre-Live 12 version of Saturator? (eg live 11)
There are a few specific things I like to use it for in the way it is built. Eg the Base Knob and also the DC offest
