Should there be a LUNA section added?

Just curious if there are many on here that use LUNA, I was thinking about moving from PT and tips and opinions would be useful

I've recently started using the Windows beta version, it's a fantastic DAW and I really like the workflow. It's only going to get better with Universal Audio releasing constant updates. I would find that section very useful

I haven't seen many LUNA users since it released in mid 2020, I don't think UA cares about it at all, it's merely a nice host for their overpriced plugins imo,
also the original concept of UA hardware integration into UA DAW seems to be almost dead now when literally all new UA interfaces come without internal outdated DSP chips,
Windows version is still "open beta" so not something you want to replace whatever current DAW you use yet,
last but not least, fuck iLok

Yeah, I've been messing around with it, nothing to write home about but if UAD would show it some love it could be a powerhouse DAW to compete with the big boys, I'm a Pro Fools guy myself and since we didn't get anything good from the teams in that regard, I've been thinking about switching over to something else, problem is I've tried most of the other guys Reaper included, can't seem to get the feel for any of them

And, if you're old enough to remember, at one point Presonus was just a hardware manufacturer until they hired some former steinberg guys, now Studio One is a powerhouse DAW used by tons of people and studios, we never know what will happen in the DAW world.....

That is not accurate at all. The new X Series Gen 2 all have DSP chips, same as ever.

A for the rest of what you said, you clearly know little to nothing about Luna, and have worked with it very little or not at all.
If you had, you wouldn't have said 3/4 what it is that you said. Basically the only informed and on point thing you said was that Windows users should probably proceed with caution.

I have found a few bugs in the windows version, and in my mind it's missing a few features that hopefully they will put in, it definitely has potential though, in time it could be a great DAW.....IMHO

I've been using Luna as my main DAW for quite a while now, and I have no regrets so far. (Mac user)

Do you write MIDI with it a lot? I read that it's not great if you're composing with MIDI

People say the same thing about Protools. If someone is into serious orchestral composing, they are likely comparing any other DAW against Cubase. And in that use case, good luck.

I messed with it for some time and it was a pretty good Experience. Indeed midi editing is not a strong point.
It drove me crazy because anything that I would record would be ahead of the timeline. Like the opposite of latency.
I tried messing with that ARC thing and made a few updates but it would never change this behavior on my system so gave up for now.

I have a license in my UA Connect available to authorise but I haven't ventured down that road.....yet.

Does Luna have a target audience? Being UAD, and much of their stuff being centred around analogue gear and space modelling VSTs, I presume it's largely targeted at the live recording classic band of instruments kind of deal?

As a techno and house music maker that's using Ableton and also dabbles a bit with Cubase and Studio One, just wondering if there's any value in even trying it out?
