I have had this several time. Everything worked fine at the surface but tiny little errors began to build up over time.
At some point there it is more time consuming to repair a system by hand than to reinstall it. :dunno:

Yes, I do the same. But it's ofc dangerous and we need to be careful at all times.
And it should always be combined with a good backup scheme.
    1. Install Winndows and all drivers. ->Backup name BASIC
    2. Unbloat/Unspy Windows, No Viruses -> No Win Defender ->Backup name STABLE
    3. Install Software I need on all PCs like Browser, Mail etc -> Backup WORK
    4. From now on I make a backup before I install major software packages and name the Backup "WORK+DAW{version}+Plugin{version}+VideoEncoder{version}"
    5. or when I uninstall e.g. a plugin I backup -> "WORK+DAW{version}-Plugin{version}+VideoEncoder{version}"
    etc.
I'll never backup if I find my system not 100% satisfactory.

    Native Access won't start/install (Windows)

    Cause

This issue may be caused by a corrupted system or poor configuration.

    Solution
Perform the following troubleshooting steps. After each step, try opening Native Access to see if the issue is resolved.

    1. Antivirus/Firewall/VPN settings
The issue may occur due to firewall, VPN, security or antivirus software blocking Native Access. Please temporarily disable these software/antivirus programs while Native Access is starting and during the installation process.

    2. Use the System File Checker tool
The steps on this page from Microsoft explain how to use this tool.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...em-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e

    3. Use the DISM Readiness tool
If Windows updates are not installed correctly, it may affect the installation of other programs. This tool from Microsoft fixes Windows Update errors.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/t...ates-features-roles/fix-windows-update-errors
    4. Install the latest Microsoft Visual C++
Make sure you have the latest Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 installed. Install both the x86:vc_redist.x86.exe and the x64:vc_redist.x64.exe, which you can find on this Microsoft support page.
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

    5. Windows Updates
Make sure you have the latest Windows Updates installed. This article from Microsoft explains how to do this.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-updates-3c5ae7fc-9fb6-9af1-1984-b5e0412c556a

    6. Graphics Card Updates
Please make sure you have the latest graphics card drivers installed. To check which graphics card is installed, follow these steps:
    Click the Windows Start button.
Type 'dxdiag' and click on the search result.
The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will open. Click the Display tab in the top left.
    dxdiag_DE.png
Here you can see the name and model of your graphics card.
Use this information to visit the graphics card manufacturer's website to check for updates for the device.

    7. Resolution and multiple monitors
If you have two monitors connected, please temporarily disconnect one of the monitors and try running Native Access again. Also, set the recommended / normal scaling for your monitor's resolution. Scaling too high will prevent the application from opening. You can find this setting in:
Windows Settings > System > Display > Scaling and Layout
