    HI all

Does someone maybe know how to edit in batch serum presets?
i like to change the category without going thru preset 1 bij 1 in serum and save them 1 by 1.
There must be somewhere some software to read out meta info of serum presets and change by large numbers this meta info.. like we do with MP3 files.
    thanks for the feedback.

I am not aware of anything. But you can feel free to write Steve a detailed mail requesting that feature.

I think (on Win) the database is in the C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Xfer\ location
It is the Serumpresetdb.dat file. I just tried to open it (with DB Browser for SQLite)

Run the DB Browser, go to the folder, (type *.* + Enter in the File name field) and you should be able to see/open it.
Select Browse Data and from the Table dropdown select Serum Preset Table.

Try to edit and save that. But make a backup first

    What is "preset 1 bij 1" ?
    Never mind .. i just realized it's a typo "1 by 1".

LOL I thought it was a preset bank.

I tried to find it few years ago and couldn't find it then I decided to sort everything in this format (pictures below), on the filename instead. It's been quite helpful especially now I have 70k presets and have around 40k unsorted, I sort add new to the collection every 2 or 3 days at the end of the day if I got energy left but it's been working pretty well when I use serum, it's easier and more organized. All those labels/dev have a certain character to their patch and I always know where to look if I needed something. Scan needed 1 hour everytime I added new preset bank tho. Will torrent all this shit up for archiving when I finally manage to get the other 40k+ presets sorted and named nicely. Probably in a year lol. It's around 150GB now in total.

There's an "Others" folder, is all the hiphop/trap stuff released daily on sister's site. I dont really fancy them but keep it because my ultimate goal of torrenting them up to the russian tracker one day.

If have almost done the same but still... even de description could be an second use of information to filter better in the preset folder.

Hey Steve if you don't mind can you answer me a question? I also have around 78k serum Presets and I been using the folders inside folders to keep them arranged. For example I would have a folder named "1"and put every folder that start with letter"a" and "b" there.. Etc etc and I currently have 12 folders. The problem is serum isn't letting me load anything after my 8th folder. Whenever I click on the presents off of 9th folder onwards it literally don't open. I can look them up on the preset browser and load them that way but not on the normal drop down menu. Do you also have this issue? I'm thinking it's due to excessive amount of presets for the drop down menu to handle. Thanks

I found that more than 156 items caused menu scrolling.
I thought that I would divide them up by letters, but 26 letters was not efficient, so I grouped them A-D, E-H, etc.
That was not too bad, but then I decided those with the most presets should remain in the MAIN menu and those with under a certain amount would go into a subfolder I named "Under X" (X because the minimum amount kept changing).
So, as I get too many new developers for the menu to not scroll, I will put whichever in the main menu has the fewest into the "Under X" subfolder.

Im at 120k all sorted nicely now and the dropdown menu already went crazy and the scan alone took 3-4 hours after new preset pack added. Got around 10k unsorted. Is it time to upload it to torrent ? 1st, I need to know how because it's so fucking huge.
