In a perfect world, programmers would simply admire their competitors and aim to create something better in the next incarnation of their product. They could also see it as an inspiration to do even better. Reverse engineering has been happening even since before the Z80 Microprocessor. If someone makes something useful, someone else will try and work out how it was made. Human nature.

Instead of bagging their programmer associates, they'd be telling people how great their next product is going to be and what it will have because they are proud of it and not threatened by their competitors.. Only my opinion.

I look forward to their next release, hopefully without the BS.

I've supported TDR and have bought Arbiter (for me the best deesser I've used), Elliptical which is a fantastic mono control, Molotov GE, Limiter °6 GE, DeEdger, Nova GE, Kotelnikov GE and SlickEQ GE. They're on every mix. You can't go wrong with Tokyo Dawn Labs.

Yea, I'm sure that I'll wind up getting Infrasonic to complete the family in the near future.

 

The bundle goes on sale often enough too. It's $40 right now on Audiodeluxe (NOVA GE and SlickEQ M are $15,) and supporting Tokyo Dawn is a no-brainer. But, ya'know, starving artist over here and all the cliches that come with it—I'm already tapped out this month after a single purchase... but I needed that cushioned conversation pit in the main social area of my yacht. Cuz that's how you do it.
