It's amazing how quickly an artistic career evaporates when the only goal is to achieve fame. In reality, the goal should be to enjoy the process of making music and not a flash of stardom.

Stardom was not a career path that ever appealed to me... who really lived a better life, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, or George Martin and Ken Scott? (Hint, for me it's the last ones)

i bet its a narrow descriptor for this measurement
i would say from initial "popular" success, you can easily last 10y
but you CAN/could keep working for a lifetime bts, imo

People talk about "1 hit wonders" all the time, but I think they are often just smart enough not to stick around. It's usually better for all involved when they do not try to stick around.

That's often times not true though. One-hit-wonders usually try to stick around but people think they didn't because all of the stuff after the one hit doesn't get any attention so that most people just assume they quit.

Some of them are actually real musicians too. I meant the ones who just bolt after they get their money and 15 minutes of fame; you can see it most in the fourth chart down. They can also be one-album wonders too.

if you don't enjoy being in the studio & it's affecting your health! then i suggest you take a good break from it all & maybe return & find it fun! like the first time you started in the studio. But some find it stressful as a job/deadlines & have to pay bills...but just remember don't take it too seriously! it's a hobby to me & if you get rewards/money for your work then even better!
