Three options here. Jealousy, trolling, or you are actually this much of a fool. You are better off with either of the first two.

What does this picture suppose to say?:) Does possession of a modular wall worth $300-500k make Zimerman music good or original? Decent musician? Certainly not

When a Clown moves into a Palace, he doesn't become a King. The Palace becomes a Circus.

Anyways, Serum 2.0 will be a free update for Serum owners.

Naturally since Serum2 is more powerful some people will probably prefer Serum1. I can't even look at Serum1 now, but there is something to be said for old, comfortable shoes.

Massive X by NI didn’t quite meet the expectations of many professional musicians, unlike the original Massive, which was a groundbreaking success and I believe it is still widely used by EDM producers.

One thing that I have noticed is that Native Instruments keeps adding new presets for both "Massive" and "Monark" in almost all of their Maschine Expansion packs, proving their ongoing use in both Hip-Hop and EDM genres.

With Serum 2 on the horizon, I can’t help but wonder if it’ll manage to break the "sequel curse" or face the same fate as Massive X.

I've been asking myself the same thing, and whether it still outshines the other synths like: vital, current, Nexus, FM 8, Phase Plant and massive x, and the other wavetable synth, and what makes xfer serum 2 so special.

I think we live in a time now where we have almost everything in terms of VST synths and the wavetable synth hasn't really grown yet, there may be a few corrections,

we've just got a few new KI. It would also be good to see them in serum, otherwise I'd feel old and would use it like an old analog synth with lots of controls like the old NI Massive. I just hope that we'll get the end boss level 100 that has everything that's better than Phase Plant, something like a separate DAW connected to a synth or something like the Nexus 5, I'm excited and I'm also very excited about the serum 2

I would also like to add the "Minimal Audio - Current 2 VSTi" which can do almost everything and is a serious competitor for all wavetable synthesizers.

Whatever most ppl say, wavetable oriented synths have their own sound engine character.
Even with the most basic waveform, i hate Vital, Massive (X) but i love Serum.

May be filters, may be there is some saturation undergoing ... don't know.
Serum can cover a lot of grounds. And i love his sound engine specific sound.
It covers so much it replaced most synths on my side.

Even if i still use Spire, Virus TI emulation, Microwave XT emu ...

Everyone hears and feels differently and that's a good thing because it's always about variety. For example, I don't like Pigments at all and I didn't think NI Massive was that great either. Vital sounds pretty good to me - but I created my own presets and only play my own presets.
You @ItsFine are a Serum type.

Only thing I wish from Serum 2 is a updated preset browser, and maybe a third OSC. I don't know if it's possible to optimize it further but the first instance of Serum takes ages to load if you have ton of presets. That's a problem only for hoarders I guess lol so I'm also to blame

You know where the delete button is.

An old saying goes: "Less is often more" or something else you can think about while you're out walking is: "Quality over quantity"!

I do not really understand the need for 20K in presets for one synth. That is a ton and I do have a few synths like that but it really is excessive for most. You will end up with so many patches that are very similar to one another.

Couldn't you just make folders with a bunch of full packs inside them, and just move them outside of /serum presets when you aren't using those? The wavetables and noises are used in so many presets, the majority of scanning time is caused by the fxp files. It doesn't really serve a purpose or speed anything up to have them all installed at once. They take seconds to put back.

Xfer Serum 2.0 might be dropping soon!
The new serum 2.0 is expected to launch in a couple of months. Let’s explore the details below, including some statements and evidence.

Have you observed the noticeable silence surrounding all Xfer products lately? There haven’t been any updates for several months. Could this suggest that Serum 2 is on the horizon? A Reddit thread hinted at it.

Some Reddit users claim that Xfer is set to launch the new Serum 2.0, with confirmation from Steve Duda and Dave Gamble themselves. Steve indicated in a post that he has dedicated five years to developing Serum 2.0, which explains the lack of updates for Serum 1. Dave Gamble also verified that some of the new enhancements will include additional synthesis types, extra oscillators and sub-oscillators, more filters, modifications to the modulation system, and a revamped UI to minimize tabbing. Dave reported all these features on Gearspace. Additionally, he noted, “V2 currently supports opening V1 presets… At this time, we do not plan for S1 instances in a session to be replaced by S2 instances.” You can find further questions answered by Gamble on Gearspace.
Conversely, Steve mentioned on Reddit that updates for Serum users will always be free.

According to some Reddit sources, Xfer is releasing the new Serum 2.0, confirmed by Steve Duda and Dave Gamble himself. Steve wrote in this post that he has been working on Serum 2.0 for 5 years now and that’s the reason why there aren’t many updates to Serum 1 anymore.

    Updates and features:
Dave Gamble also confirmed some of The new upgrades include, new synthesis types, More osc + sub osc, more filters, changes to the modulation system, and UI changes to reduce tabbing, Dave claims all these features on Gearspace. Gamble answers more questions that you can look at on Gearspace
On the other hand, Steve mentioned on Reddit that the updates for Serum users are always free.

All of these comments and responses indicate that Xfer is actively developing version 2.0 of Serum, which is anticipated to be released this year.

Also, Check Out this video for more details:

My INFO: It probably won't be long now, you can at least see a small part of the Xfer Serum 2, it looks like you could link several wavetable synths as main settings? What do you think about that?
