most of the trouble I've had has been mkv from mega, none from kat yet (knock on wood)

 

I know a bunch of people are experiencing weird glitches, limitations, and other issues with RD lately. The French and Italian governments are on RD's ass, so I expect things to normalize in the future. I haven't experienced these issues during the time I've used RD, so I don't think it's systemic

There are guys from Real Debits who report all comments when you share your bad experience with RD. They already made me banned in Reddit.

These are AllDebrid Limited Hosts... I tend to just use Rapidgator links all the time as Katfile seems to be limited, I think was similar with RealDebrid

 

I see where you're coming from, but you're mistaken. There's no such thing as free!
If you don't pay with money, you will pay with time, and if it's not your time, then it's someone's -- That’s just how it works, whether you like it or not. So, calling people lazy just because they value their time differently is, frankly, naive.

I have run into unpublished limits on real-debrid, after 100 gb on rg it'll stop until several hours/the next day

Maybe you are behind a CGNAT...

I'm a LOOOONG time user of RD (and other similar services). I download from 40 to 150+GB a day using RD (JDownloader). No problems up now. I'm on a 1Gbps FTTH connection with a non-CGNAT (not shared) public IP.

 

I'm honestly not sure the progression of time has become meaningless

 

Real Debrid seems to be working far better than I expected after the drama of a few weeks ago. My first reaction after all that stuff was that they were done. I'm still having a problem with all of their hosters when it comes to video files (e.g. mkv, mpeg, avi, etc.). With any of those I'll get some weird message or another in jdownloader. None of those message prompts make much sense, and what they say in them keeps changing every day, but the gist is always 'no dice on video files dude'. Anything else though, like RG or Kat links from next door seem to be working fine, which again is kind of surprising seeing what went on. At first I thought RG was going to be shut out of RD's system altogether, but it's just been video files that are down, everything else is just fine.

I'm also surprised to hear the OP's difficulty with these 'fair usage' prompts. There's been several days that I've downloaded a ton of stuff, like ten - twenty times the 2gb limit Free Agent mentioned, and I haven't gotten any sort of message like that, no limitation at all, no warning, nothing. I know in the past when there was some confusion with them over my use of a VPN, I was able to get a note or two to their admin at RD and they always got back to me about 24 hours later. Free Agent, have you tried sending them a note on their help page link? Been awhile since I used that, but they used to have a drop down menu for messaging by subject on that help page. None of the subjects listed ever fit with what I had to talk to them about so I just picked any one of them and sent them the message I needed to get to them. They always got back.

Good luck with this Free Agent. Hope you're able to work things out with Real Debrid, and if not, hopefully you get it all resolved with another provider for your downloads.
