All I can say: Whenever I bought HP I regretted that decision. Once the hinges and the case broke just by opening and closing them. Another model didn't like the Ssd upgrade and crashed as long as it didn't get it's OG SSD back. And the third doesn't like the Intel WiFi card I bought. You can't change anything, they test the bios only with the configurations they offer and that's it.
I switched over to Lenovo and it's way better there.

Edit: None of your configs is ryzen based, is there a reason? There is nothing wrong with Intel. But other CPU manufacturers daughters are beautiful too.
I have a Lenovo Ideapad pro with 16" display on ryzen. I really like that one.

This is finnish site, but you get the specs. I bought one of these way back at 450€, never got any problem due to processing power, battery life isn´t that good, but it can even handle some AI stuff on spectralayers pretty good. For beatmaking I would not buy a topnotch laptop

Clear purchase recommendation for the LENOVO Ideapad pro5, good proven energy management from Lenovo, it doesn't get too hot, 1x USB-C is used for the power supply, you have Thunderbold 4 and lots of connection options, very good single core CPU performance, the Meteor Lake is manufactured in 7nm. DDR 5 and NVMe bring the necessary performance. All in all a fast modern system.

After purchasing you should run LatencyMon www.resplendence.com/latencymon and optimize your laptop for music production. Don't let audio glitches ruin your performances! www.cantabilesoftware.com/glitchfree/

if you just have to get a mac then get 1, good time as m4 is out - But recognize that there's not much you' can do nowadays w a mac that you can't w a cheaper PC. I just tested about 9 laptops thx to best buys awesome return policy, and I made the best decision ever. If u want to Wing it by comparing laptops that you hear about head to head, ... use https://nanoreview.net/en/laptop-compare. Better yet, if you want to dig in and compare specs you'll really want to know about, check out their laptop cpu ranking list: https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-list/laptop-chips-rating Long story short I started about this time last year with a m2 mac studio max only to sell it on ebay months later. I ended up going w an Asus ROG Strix and I upgraded it to 16TBs via its 2 m.2 nvme slots as well as 64 gb ram. So I can say bye to having to lug around ext Hds when I wanna get away and make beats at Starbucks. CPU is ryzen 9 7495hx, which, with the Ram and ssds has allowed a pretty fast experience when producing in Ableton, as well as in logic, which I was able to install using vmware, I'm a fan off logics synths, and I have a software that allows me to run the logic tracks back ingo channels of my ableton host.

65th place - The M2 is definitely faster, but I think Apple is always more expensive than Ryzen.
Intel is also an expensive brand. Many mac m2 musicians/users are very happy with the performance.
    LatencyMon is only for Windows!
