Current state of movie theater audio

    Hey guys, so I'm wondering if there are any contemporary books or other sources of information regarding movie theater speaker setups. I can guess that modern cinema has to solve lots of problems to make audio quality superb - they have to make audio delivery time approximately equal for all of the public, then they have to compensate frequency response because of audio waves overlapping. What speaker topographies do they use? What are best examples of implementation of them?

    Also it's interesting what they do in terms of acoustical solutions.

    Can you also recommend a good source on practical acoustics for big venues like music stages, specifically classical ones? Like AES proceedings, or some other good journal. How does it work how it works? Last acoustics book I've read had lots of math, and we don't like that.
