2024 has been the worst year ever for me,lots of health problems & depression/anxiety.
Not that our world is in a better shape.
I wish everyone Happy Holidays & good health.
Peace into this beautiful world.
So struggling with depression & lots of anxiety & a ton of physical health problems i've managed to create some music projects this year.
Never giving up & this too shall pass are in my mind most of my days now & gives me a bit of hope.
Anyway here are some projects that I created this year.

Hey man, I had a tough one too, acompaning my very young mother (only 16 years older than me) to her final days because of cancer. Sending all the love I can muster. Gonna make a playlist with your songs and listen to them while I work.

Depression and anxiety disorders have increased worldwide in the last four years. Some of them need to be treated with medication (antidepressants) and/or psychotherapy, some disappear on their own, some get better. Online psychotherapy programs can be purely self-help programs. What helps is exercise such as sport, Tai Chi, going for a walk. The way to combat fear is to go right through it.

 

SpyFx ✪ pal, you are a top-tier multimedia music composer. I remember listening to some of your hybrid-orchestral tracks, but lately, I’ve noticed you’ve embraced a rather minimalist aesthetic (it seems to me you’re aiming for greater alignment with current market trends). There’s absolutely nothing wrong with adapting to market demands; I just want to remind you that the music that comes from within you, i mean, the one where you express your unique qualities as a creator, is truly amazing, so make sure to practice it whenever you get the chance.

Regarding depression and anxiety, seek support from healthcare professionals, particularly cognitive-behavioral psychologists, to assess whether psychiatric care (possibly involving personalized medication based on the actual needs of your situation) might be beneficial. Additionally, surround yourself with "good company" (people, music, healthy food, etc.) whenever possible!

The tracks "In My Mind" (with its cool groove and sparse melodic notes) and "Just be." (with its smooth groove and light mood) truly resonated with me. I wish you all the best for the end of this year and for the one to come, lots of strength, courage, and blessings to you!

Hi Spyros,

I'm sorry to read it's been such an intense year for you.. These last years were harsh on a lot of poeple... ! You know it already, but this is only the lower part of the wave, the negative amplitude, before inevitably going back to positive and higher notes, for another (varying) occiliation (within other, longer occiliations). Though depression is one kind of a bitch.... makes these so much more intense. They feel like endless...

Cliché yet it's been true for me; answer is love (in addition to some changes in my habits to escape the loop of doom). Not love for someone, love for everything and everyone, the good, the bad, the challenges, the rewards. Only question being how to get to this ? For me,
had to force myself, surrender to it. In the end what can we do but live with everything that is happening around ? This was only my receipe the end this multiple years long battle too, and as much as i truly believe in this way, i also know this would not resonate with everybody...
So my humble advise would be to trust your guts, always. If they tell you to seek better help maybe even mediaction, then it must be your way.. Deep down, you already have the answer. As long as you're free inside... "Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we may as well dance !" (as "just be." articulates).

Anyway, all rambling aside, one thing is for sure; it certainly did not diminish the quality of your tracks ! I like them all, but the first one you posted of a greek name i can't pronounce, not even write has to be my favorite. Very powerful, it clears the sinuses. Got the eyes watery and shivers in the spine. Really like Smtg from the earth too, as well as In my mind. Love the tribal-wave vibe.

24 was indeed a shit year, 25 will likely be a shittier year, I will check out the music and... yeah

but life definitely moves in waves, for some, the waters are a lot rockier than others: but we all have to learn how to surf homie. learning to keep your balance and ride the waves so you dont get pulled under, is a big part of what you learn when the water settles. youre definitely right, the waters will chill, it will pass; right now youre just learning a new way to balance and flow
