a lot of sonible plugins make my audio file not start from scratch (visual waveform),therefore i can't sidechain or do something exactly with these plugins, anyone know why?

 

It's an ableton live issue with plugin latency. If you have a plugin that produce some latency before a time-based(or grid based or whatever) effect it affects that plugin. Solution is to use midi triggering on those plugins.

 

so it will take me more time to create new layer and set things up, is there any solution?

 

1. You can move the waveform until timing matches using arrow buttons in kickstart(somewhat accurate but not 100%), I think you have the same functionality in shaperbox.
2. Create a global track to trigger all instances of these plugins using midi.
3. Refrain from using plugins that are not zero latency on tracks you want to use those effects.

Those are some workarounds that I used to manage that issue when I was using ableton live. It's also possible to use existing audio as sidechain to trigger the effect but I'm not sure about latency issues associated with it, If your kick use zero latency processing it should also work. Maybe someone who actively use ableton live may have a better workaround than these. I'm currently using cubase.

Ususally u have to sidechain early in your chain, sidechain still applies to effects after, since its volume shaping, a little latency doesnt do anything rly unless its like 15+ms, you also dont need to sidechain everything, get a strong kick with a nice transient and good transients on drums.

Sidchain is usally only for the lower frequencies. So i SC my base, and in some cases if latency i applied, try group the elements you want sidechained and then SC the group.
