    oh wow lmao.

We had it made man, we could stay out all day parents didn't care what we got into as long as we weren't in jail and home for supper when the street lights came on lol. Smoking ciggs we bummed off mom at 11-12 lol, hell you could go into the store and buy them. we used to take our dads beers or sip when he puit it down and wasn't looking LOL. We chewed tobacco/dip after our big league chew days in baseball just like the pros, we rode our bikes everywhere for miles, camped out in the back yard, built tree houses and forts, bow and arrows, you name it we most likely did it . We didn't have a care in the world. Now these kids these days can't do shit like that anymore, they didn't have the chance to experience true freedom and actually live like we did.

Oh holy shit! Is that Sacrifice? How on earth did you remember this. Unique hybrid, strategy with action elements game. All possible main character choices were different types of wizards if i recall. You 'd collect souls after battles (does this sound familiar anyone? hehehe). Vivid visuals although not much detail but had a great variety in units and spells. I do remember great voice acting on this one and very good music. Shiny made this before they made the very first Matrix game which was an action game and wasn't as good as this, but did sell 5 mil copies due to the hype i guess. Dam those flashbacks keep coming.
Big fan of Elder Scrolls myself too. Played them all and eagerly waiting for Elder Scrolls VI in 2025(?). And while i think Witcher 3 complete with the expansions had the most compelling adult fantasy story ever, i wasn't courageous enough to replay it hehe. With Skyrim i re-played it 3 times, as each class plays quite differently and leads to different choices altogether.
PS: I 'm also a big fan of White Wolf pen & paper rpgs. Therefore, one of my fav games ever is Vampire:The Masquerade. Quite buggy but most excellent story and replay ability due to totally different gameplay of classes and character origin stories.
EDIT: I dunno about best, but most deep game ever must be Myst. I remember playing it with my fiancee at the time and we had filled at least one 100 pages full size notebook of info gathered. Best adventure game ever.

Yah, I was over at a friends place. I think there were 4 of us there, and we were taking turns going through the whole game and trying to beat it. It was so long ago, my memory is fuzzy on the details, but we made it through the full game and lost to Tyson.. multiple times. I don't remember how many times it took to beat him, but it definitely took several attempts. I think it was really down to me or one other guy getting close to beating him, and I ended up doing it.

Eventually you learn the fight code to get to Mike Tyson though. It is given out in the game after you beat the 2nd last guy, and a lot of people probably miss it (it's written on a newspaper in the scene after beating Super Macho Man). We didn't use any codes to cheat though, just the one to be able to repeat the Tyson fight over and over. I couldn't imagine losing to Mike Tyson and then going through the entire game again. That would take forever. lol

I don't think I ever saw that, actually

I forgot about these.. I had a hockey one and multiple football ones. Loads of fun, but man, kids today would be like "what is this crap?" lol

Is that Schneider? I once went to a concert where a guy played multiple Schneiders with some kind of synth software using keyboard (text) input. Most horrible concert I've ever been to. We were lying on the floor covering our ears.

Man before I even looked it up I said it out loud to myself and Googled it, I STILL remember that fucking passcode like it is permanently burned into memory hah. Just like I can finish both quests of the original Zelda by memory in about 2 hours (that includes all the little secret caves and whatnot too). I don't remember that being shown in the game but now I have to go fire it up again. We got it from an issue of Nintendo Power or the older Nintendo Fun Club heh.

I cant even remember what my boss told me to do this morning at work, but I can still go straight to Tyson without looking it up. We could only ever beat him by lasting all three rounds and avoiding him to win by decision. I've never seen anyone able to actually TKO him.

He can definitely be TKOed (and that's how I did it). At this point, again, my memory is pretty fuzzy on it but i seem to recall getting the star-power punch thing multiple times in his fight and timing the power punch after his swings. But I might be mixing that part up with one of the other fighters. I am fairly sure that was part of how I did it though. Either way, I know I managed to TKO him and not just a decision.

    trrue dat..
i remember playing til dark and then sleeping with the window open and smelling the honeysuckle on the wind. The world was huge, if we rode our bikes to our friends it was 5 miles each way, and there wasn't much traffic. we rode on the highway, there were no bike paths unless we rode through the woods...
no worrys except getting cold or hungry and having to ride that bicycle home, but it wasn't a worry that wouldn't go away with a meal and a warm bed. and that was really all you needed to make you happy.

we felt like the future was bright and was gonna be so much better, we used to put the tent up in the back yard with a flashlight and a transistor radio, and camp out and talk about the future and what we were gonna be and do, and tell jokes and stories.

Turned out the future wasn't the same one we were promised though...

Many days the past, of fewer luxuries and many fewer worries seems a brighter place than the present, let alone the future.

I find myself spending less time on the internet and I'm going back to a dumb phone, all these devices aren't making my life better, just more complicated and less fulfilling.

glad for an acoustic guitar and a park bench under a tree, I don't have to click on anything or refuse an update or get bombarded with ads and spam. just a guitar and the world and at worse a carpenter bee who wants to get smacked out of the ball park, they are dumb but not spiteful and usually get the idea after a swat or two....

I sometimes remember the horrible concerts better than the great ones. I saw Journey once and was bored out of my noggin and sorely lacking in liquor as well. Bruce Springsteen was terrible as well, but everyone else seemed to love him, so I guess its just me.. Born 2 run is really the only thing I care for. Saw Gary Neuman on his 1st u.s. tour, didn't really understand it, think he was opening for a rock band. did enjoy watching him drive his little car around the stage though.. at least he was interesting if somewhat depressing, but he was english so we figured he had a right to be depressed...

Early computer music was really hit or miss, course nobody really knew what they were doing so that explains a lot in retrospect...
still i own some interesting albums and tapes from those days..

These used to be in bars & taverns, space invaders was more enjoyable after a loosely rolled and roughly wrapped mexican cigarette and a beer.

you could park your mug of beer on the table whilst you played and enjoyed the amazing graphics and space age sounds..
keeping a supply of quarters handy could be a problem as it ate into your drinking money eventually...

Hell yea I've done like everything you can do my first play though, I probably played it a year straight. Even though ths story is over, I don't think the side quests ever stop lol. I couldn't get enough and I always looked forward to getting back online to play it lol. The thing about Elder Scrolls is you pretty much need a team, it was buggy when it come out and I didn't play it much. You always had to have eveyone at the same quest to start it and shit, then it would glitch out and ruin it sometimes. The leveling system sucked too because people got way stronger than others, and you'd get slaughtered in PvP if you don't have 12 hours a day to play the damn game lol. I'm actually thinking about doing a playthrough but with the mods that looks like a lot of fun.

I've actually never played The Witcher I think I was stuck on call of duty around that time. Then I got stuck on GTA 5 online, had a crew of like 50 people. I've never played Myst either, it was actually weird I got addicted to Skyrim because I'd never really played fantasy type medevia or really RPG type game. I thought of playing Elden Ring but the bosses look damn near impossible to beat and I didn't want the headache or stress  . I watched my cousin fight Margit the Fell Omen like 20 times in a row, and he kept getting wrecked. I was like yea fuck that better you than me I would have done broken something haha.
