Hi everyone,
I have a question: what's the difference between the V.R and U2B releases of Cubase on Mac?
Are they equal in terms of stability, performance, etc.?

I've worked with the V.R version, and it feels similar to the R2R version on Windows.
But I don’t know why version 14.0.10 hasn’t been released by V.R on Mac yet, while U2B released it right away.

I'd appreciate it if you could help me out.

 

I have hackintosh sequoia 15.2 with i9 9900k

 

Cubase PRO now just opens as ARTIST. Any one has the same issue?
Reinstalled everything.
Still opens as ARTIST!

 

Yep, same issue. I had the official trial installed originally, wonder if it's related?
Tried both UB2 and VR version, both turn into Artist when cracked :/

 

I had the trial, too. It ended yesterday and today I opened Cubase and it was Artist. Now deleting everything and try to make a fresh install. NUENDO would be a work around for now.

Found the solution:

Just delete the file "activation.dat" in your users folder:


~/Library/Application\ Support/Steinberg/Activation\ Manager/Data/activation.dat

 

I tried the latest U2B release of Cubase Pro 14.0.2. I installed the U2B release but patched using VR Cubase Patch of previous release version. Everything is super stable and it opens up as the Pro version as expected. No issues here.

 

The issue is only for those who installed trial version before the cracked one, and only happens when the trial has ended.
