I have all of the k'd FabFilter stuff but I want to use them in legit Pro Tools so I'm going to download the trial versions, and I'm just wondering if it's possible to reset the trials since they don't use iLok? If not, eventually I will buy Pro Q 4 and Pro MB for use in PT but I'd want to keep the k'd version of everything else for use in Logic. Is it possible to have both legit and k'd FabFilter plugins? Thanks in advance!

 

plist files are properties list. kext files are kernel extensions. Most files you will ever need to delete will be in /library/preferences.

Sometimes you can re-demo a program or plugin. Sometimes you just need to clean up the first installation. In some cases, you may need to ask the developer to let you re-demo the product. Obviously, that is probably a one-time thing, but they hope you buy the plugin and are not going to tell you no. A number of developers have started adding those kinds of comments to their demos pages.

They are different format plugins. Logic uses AU format plugins, which are .component files. That is it's own separate world as far as Protools could care. You should have no problem using something your paid for in Protools, and what you do in Logic is not related.
The plugins live in different folders.

What does it change if you cannot get them working that way? Isn't the worst case scenario that you have to delete the 2 of the AU .component files if they have the same file names, or other issue?
