Seriously though, this is funny to me. I don't use Reaper, I do however think it's a great piece of software and I understand why people do. But there seems to be a little bit of an air around it that's kind of like being a hard core christian; if you say well I don't really believe in that, I'm into something else the response is something on the lines of YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL

Not everybody obviously, but there are some true believers.

I hope that all people, with all their characteristics and differences, live peacefully on the planet and no one considers himself superior to anyone else.

Perhaps because you 're one more up for the DAW beauty contest? hehehe...
I agree and i 'm almost the same. But why do i support Reaper. Lemme say something that hasn't been said so far.
I don't use Reaper when i produce or make music, i am much quicker on other workflows (because to me, Reaper is one of the "newer" DAWs).
However, i do use it for teaching music tech, usually to trained musicians who aren't engineers and want to get to grips with the studio tech. About 20 years ago I devised a "quick but dense" course for intermediates and i get a couple of students from time to time. Only through my circle of acquaintances, it's not something i advertise that's why you hear this from me for the first time. I usually get classical and jazz musicians or gigging pros as students who generally want to start home studio rec and mix. So. Imho, there's no better platform for teaching purposes, because it has everything a modern daw should have, it's dirt cheap if you wanna buy it and it runs fine on anything, even 15 y.o. laptops etc. Reaper costs nothing for two months which is what my course lasts (12 hrs a week though), give or take. So at the end they can decide if they will continue using it or not.
    Cheers
PS: The hardcore attitude of some Reaper users is understandable because their community is very tight, like they 're all friends. You ask for something and you will get an answer that will get you sorted.
All this starts right at the core from the devs, who over time have exhibited an ethos unlike all the other corporate music tech conglomerates. I 've never seen more feature requests being implemented on any other platform.
So yeah, talk shit 'bout this lil proggy that does it all and costs almost nothing, you are fucking going to hell hahaha.

We support different things throughout our lives. At a moment in our past, maybe we did it because that thing would satisfy our needs more. Over time, our needs have changed or become more complex, and if the previous thing had the power to meet our needs, we continued to support it or supported something else. It is only possible to not support something when we ourselves become developers and solve our needs ourselves, which does not happen to those whose goal is only to make music and stay away from the complexities of writing software. In life, we have no choice but to support, because without supporting and spending time on something, we will not benefit from its blessings. In every historical moment, people have supported different things and we are not exempted and we should support things. This situation exists for all humans in any situation.

As opposed to what? GenX'er "pro-tool" fans? Or millennial "pro-tool" fans? Grow up. Generation shaming is infantile.

This is another comment which reminds me the advise given to a newbie that began something like:
Which belongs to the sphere of impossible because no beginner can get deep into music theory. And then another advise.
Just clueless. Modern orchestral/symphonic composers typically know much more than Mozart did as the music vocabulary has vastly expanded during the 20th century.
See, the "boomer pro tool fans" aren't quite blowing your way, but may blow your "constructive comments" away like huff and puff lil piggie lol.
I bet when you say back in the day you mean 4-5 years ago, don't you:hahaha:
Here's 10 bucks, have some choco strawberry milk shake mate. I'm buying.
