It sounds great.

 

It sounds very good. It even can import virus (TI) banks. So as you said, there are lots of soundbanks to download from the sistersite.

I bought it and love it.
One of the very very few I have bought. (As a hobbyist I can't justify much budget).
I love running it alongside the DSP56300 Emulators Osirus & OsTirus .
It's a lot easier on the CPU even with the current optimized versions.
And they really are different experiences

Both of those are great, I've yet to play with Viper yet but Synth1 is cool too

Why Viper when there is free Ostirus sounding 100% original ?
Viper was a good initiative, but now ... there is no sense at all, until it ADD things really missing on Virus.

 

I am a long time Viper user and purchased a TI2 after, but prior to the release of the first A/B/C emulator. I still use both Viper and the TI2 emulator, and the TI2 hardware is stored. Viper is absolutely worth the purchase.

Lets get something straight here, I could buy an actualy Virus TI ok. Money is not the issue. I am in an experimentary stage at the moment. Most people already know that I just came back to the internet earlier this year after being gone off of it nearly 20 years and away from music production. I have never owned any hardware either, so I wouldn't even know where to start with that. I like hardstyle, techno, trance and edm styles, and if I can find applications that enable me to produce those sounds then I'm on board with it.
