actually that' s exactly what I said, they don t sound the same, it s not my fault if you can 't read, or do you think that saying that variations in sound quality is different than saying that they don't sound the same

You aren't making any sense now, as yes, I can read.

They do sound the same in the conditions you laid out initially.

    Scientifically objectively, as they null.

Subjectively? That's your own snake oil demon that isn't grounded in reality as explained clearly above.

Brother, I have quoted the real developers who has experience in developing a real DAW and you arguing against them with a damn fool AI, which is trained on shit available on public platforms? Its like telling doctors how their diagnosis is wrong based on the article you read on WebMD.

I hope so, and I hope you now understand that conflating different daw's stock fx/pdc/instruments/pan laws/understand of use/what have you, with the initial statement you made is incorrect.

The relationship between Avid and Pace evolved as follows: initially, Pace was a small, affordable company that Avid utilized. As Avid and other plugin developers paid Pace a fee of approximately 30% of their earnings, Pace experienced significant growth, eventually acquiring JUCE, a leading audio framework. Ironically, Pace has now surpassed Avid in size.

Did I mention any fx/pdc/instruments/pan laws? No!
Just record a naked track with a daw, copy and paste it on another daw, don t add anything, just play it with all the controls to Zero, don t do anything except pushing the play button.THEY DON' T SOUND THE SAME!

And if I said "bounce the same naked track on different daws, if they're not the same they shouldn't null" you'll probably say "I didn't say the exports are different, I said THEY DON'T SOUND THE SAME WHEN YOU PLAY THEM", right?

See, this is where this BS conversation gets interesting. The developers of Logic, Cubase, Protools, etc. will never say "Our DAW sounds better". Unless you count UAD Luna or Harrison Mixbus DAW. They actually do say or imply that they do sound better. (or "more analog" anyway) People say Acoustica sounds better all the time and are not challenged about that either.

But here is where the "sounds the same" matter. People who are told "My Free DAW sounds exactly like Cubase" or " My $50 DAW sounds just like Protools". These statements are made to promote inferior products, and to be believed by some people. Beginners. People who think a simple null test reflects a real comparison of these very complex softwares.

There is so much processing done in any single project none of it even matters. But if you think for a minute that some track you produce in Cubase is going to be identical to what Logic would spit out, then you do not even have the experience to discuss such a subject with anyone.

It is clickbait for newbies. Thanks, Youtube.

Yeah they do. Or you have something else going on wrong.

There must be some language problem here, as you clearly don't understand what I am saying.

I am saying if you record a naked acoustic guitar track through the same interface to two different daws, they will sound exactly the same.

I said the other things as caveats, as obviously things like pan law and pdc and properly understanding warp and whatnot are going to be different. That's not brain surgery. And everyone gets that.

But today, (not 15-20 years ago where actually PT was BEHIND in their engine compared to some others, which isn't of any consequence here and apparently will further confuse you with conflation of events, and I don't want to bring any other variables in, and why I excluded them in the premise you misunderstand), but today.. If I record the same acoustic guitar path in Logic/Ableton/PT at the same time, through the same interface, they will simply NOT sound different on that particular track.

You wanna go tossing eq's and fx on it and panning and warping etc AFTER, sure, or go on with a mix with different elements, sure, it's gonna sound different, and it's gonna diverge... and summing engines, and how people bus things and process or approach with different things and all down the hole... and/as everyone has different tools they use to get where they want to go given their daw of choice... but there is not difference in sound at all on that single acoustic guitar track, at all, between daws.... given the conditions you laid out.

They will be the same until you manipulate them somehow.

All things being equal in terms of pan law and db's and settings, if you give me a 2 bar drum loop, and I play it at unity on pt/ableton/reaper/cubase/logic, what have you (neutral daws), it does sound the same, exported or whatever... as it quite simply is, and is easily demonstrated on export and anything else you want to test it on in terms of playback. Show me otherwise.

This isn't comparing the sound between recording to a Studer vs an Otari 2" kinda thing.

Sure, workflow operations and different daws have different ways of doing things which are going to sonically diverge in a mix/production etc.

But that is not what you are saying.

If that sounds different, you got shit fucked up in your settings, you aren't understanding certain fundamental things about your daw, or you have some bias that doesn't exist in reality, and you go anecdotal about your 'feelings' as much as you want... but again, it's not a thing in the scenario you laid out.

Since they could not reach an agreement, they called in the court to resolve the conflict.

This case ended up in the Higher Regional Court of AudioSexPro.
The trial lasted for 5 years with expert opinions and counter-expert opinions and cost 250,000 dollars.

    Oh dear. This again.

Hasn't the null test completely nullify the DAW wars in this case?
If there was some coloring happening, then it wouldn't matter. Otherwise - some obvious artifacts would have been exposed....right?
