If I have to assemble a PC, what components do you recommend? Processor, RAM, etc... Thank you very much!

    Too generic question.
First: what's your max budget and what do you need from your PC?
Large audio projects with lots of cpu demanding vsts is one thing, small projects are another.
Please tell us more so we can guide you in a useful way

    you will need

    1 a case
    2. a power supply
    3 a mother board
4 stuff to put in the motherboard, like RAM, ewes, calves, hard drives, soft drives, heatsinks, heatfloats, lots of blinky lights, an assortment of meaningless stickers, some wires and jumpers and a degree in electronic engineering and a 3.3 volt cmos battery.
    5. a wireless keyboard, and a wired keyboard to install the driver for the wireless keyboard
    6. endless patience, the iq of einstein, the dexterity of a tight rope walker and the hands of a 3 year old to get into the tiny spaces and plug in wires and a bale of bandaids to cover the slashes to your skin from the sharp edges on the metal work, the i/o pins and other tiny dangers waiting like micro cactus in the innards of your dream machine.
    7. then you need to install an operating system, drivers, updates,
    8. then you need to remove spam, disable processes that aren't needed, fine tune your startup sequence.
    9. then you need to get a monitor, then you need to send it back and get another monitor, then it will break and by the 3rd or 4 th monitor you will have something you like, but you will need to upgrade your graphic card because the monitors won't work together or it doesn't support the resolution you need.
10 then you will need to upgrade your power supply , because your new graphic cards sucks to much amperage from your power supply and your computer shuts down randomly.
    11. then you need to get an audio interface and send it back and keep doing this until you get one you like.
12 by now if your computer isn't obsolete and in need of a complete upgrade, you can begin installing Daw software and plugins and then uninstalling and reinstalling them until you forget why you are even installing them.
    13. now you will be ready to make music or send email or whatever you decided you needed to build a computer for...

have fun and remember whatever you create it will be obsolete in 2-3 years and you can do it all over again just so you can brag about it to anyone who has a small penis and they will feel even more bewildered and spend hours searching the internet for ways to overcompensate for their perceived lack of endowment from the creator of all things.

its a great learning event, and it will help keep your bank account from getting too big and you can spend an endless amount of time trying to get things to work instead of making music, so its really a great excuse for not doing anything you don't want to do..

be sure to print this so you can refer to it when your computer isn't working or you can't connect to the internets..

    best of luck..

    G.

Even though you can't necessarily write a number 1 hit, you have a talent for writing and humor. You have a great imagination, it's actually satire and I thank you for your intelligent and humorous contribution which describes a lot of truth from the life of a musician.

    I salute you sir!
This is a reasonable no-nonsense system capable of a lot more than the price might suggest.

To save the situation I suggest you make a RAP song with your lyrics! That way you're a musician with humorous lyrics.

Windows Environment I need a PC that does not make noise because I am a singer and I will record with my voice. My projects obviously involve the use of VST and VSTI, in the previous PC I always had problems with real-time audio such as very annoying crackles, when there are several tracks with vsti so I am looking for a suitable configuration. I think at least 1000/1500 will be needed, so I am not clear about it. At the moment I have as an audio card Behringer U-PHORIA UMC404HD

you can make (or buy - but then you learn nothing,,) a device which acts a bit like an audio booth, to reduce the noise for vocals in a small space. this one is about 70 usd$, I have not used this particular one, but it gives you an idea of the form and function.

something like this, a semi circular baffle, attached to a mic stand. can use metal screen, chicken wire, etc to hold the foam.

many variations on internet if you search for

    "microphone isolation shield"

just so you know crackles are usually a sign of a bad cable or bad ground, not computer issues per se. sometimes cracked plugins will create noise (or uncracked plugins that are not registered) to annoy you into registering. I had some sony plugins that would do this.
typical pc problems are latency/delays - usually adding more memory will help considerably without having to upgrade your computer.
with 64 bit o/s more ram means more space for plugins to reside in without using disk swapping.

its fairly cheap and easy to do if your computer supports more ram, you might want to check that out before spending big money.

another tip for vocals or acoustic guitar where you use a microphone.
you can buy a fairly inexpensive dedicated microphone/usb interface/recorder that will record audio without a computer and then let you transfer it to your DAW. so you dont have to worry about pc noise when tracking vocals.

i bought mine used on ebay for around 80$, there are usually a lot of them for sale. there are other version from zoom since
this came out - also handy if you want to record in another room away from the pc, say you like the room reverb of your bathroom or living room, you can just record there and then dump it into your daw. its records to sd cards. very handy. also can record audio from streaming services, tv anything with an audio out jack... handy little devices - if you use it alot , get the remote it will make sure there is no handling noise from the buttons (this is only an issue if you are using the built in mics at the top, they are very sensitive)

i've used the zoom H4N. you'd probably want to go with using the xlr inputs to use your prefered mic.
you can record in .wav or mp3 and in mono or stereo

also suggest you get sysinternals software from microsoft its free and will help you analyze your pc problems

recommend you begin with process explorer ( i run it in my startup folder, so its always available to kill programs that get out of hand)
and Autoruns (which will show you all the crap that loads up when your computer boots and lets you disable shit like google updates and Adobe pdf updates and any of that crap )

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/
