I agree that the Alicia’s Electric Keys Kontakt library does sound really, really good.

I just started using Teletone Audio - Vespertone. It's really nice.

Reason's CP80 was very good, too! My favorite ones now are the models in Korg's EP-1.

Just listened to the demo. Quite nice sounding! It amazes me how many good options we have these days.

    Hi all
I have returned to comment on the splendour of the UAD Electra 88, although with the unfortunate surname of 88, this instrument performs at a sound level on a par with any of those previously mentioned, as well as the CPU resources required are quite moderate.
It doesn't have a lot of timbre adjustment, but it does have different amp simulations and an effects rack.
I've been replacing the UJAM Vibe with this one for a few days now and I'm very happy with it.

MUD - To reproduce the bell singing tines there has to be overtones I guess.
try Curves Equator - blew me away - One of the presets has remove mud/ cleanup in mids and it does. I thought yeah yeah like so many claiming to do things to find they're only adequate, but not this time.

I use Keyscape Lush Rhodes a lot if you haven't tried it.

Maybe when I put mud in the title of the post I made a mistake, because the meaning of mud is to be discussing something with very subjective nuances. And that action of exchanging opinions is a kind of mud that you fall into, when you are really involved, and it can be difficult to get out.

Thank you all once again for responding and recommending your favourite EP

Moving on, (this post is turning into a sort of auto-oracle, where I dump the impressions I have about EP sounds, and reading what I've written and what the users of this place can already read, I get feedback that clarifies my ideas. You can call me a jerk, but that's the way it is)...the Rhodes I'm using the most, because of the tremendous dynamics that can be obtained from the setting options, above any other I've tried, is UA's Electra 88 (... bad number, I know).

As you can see we have several parameters in the dynamics section that the other libraries I've mentioned in other posts don't have.

so far that's what I wanted to say, besides sending my greetings to all and wish you all the best for these festive dates, which are already approaching like a train without brakes.

What makes me go with XLN is the possibility of having different signals in each stereo channel (say, left with a condensed mic and right with a tube mic). It lends more life to the sound. Also, the minutia of detuning and introducing subtle fails from inside their own system makes the workflow a breeze — not to mention their internal effects (noise generators, saturators or compressors) being very underrated, it seems to me. I regard XLN's products among the most passionate and well thought in the VSTi world, and Addictive Keys is no exception. I just wish they had picked a Wurlitzer and a Pianet instead of acoustic pianos for that pack!
