I agree with you Radio.
Mine was just an analysis before things then go wrong and the factory asks: “How come? Where did we go wrong?”.

However, I am sure Nexus will do a good job.

Anyone know the process to upgrade Nexus 3 to v5? Is it even possible? Or will I need to go to v4 before v5? thanks

 

Of course, I also agree with Radio.
The user wants as little trouble as possible to remain attached/loyal and zero errors of cultural ethnocentrism... these are the first rules of economics and business.

However, I am sure Nexus will do a good job.

That's a great starting point. Don't give up too fast mate:
See how the naming convention for all the functioning Expansions is and to what extent the EDM6 folder containing the preview OGG files deviates from it.
Or, in case the OGG files are missing, look for them in the N5 directory. Maybe they are copied to a wrong place ...
That's the way I would try to solve the problem.

 

I don't give up easily, I'll figure it out sooner or later... I'm not in a hurry. Already grateful that I have 99% working. ;)

Na, I didn't must have been another guy. And I think thats not the way.
Did you compare the preview folders already and is there any deviation in folder names. Does the EDM6 folder contain OGG files?

 

probably, sometimes difficult to keep track of all the topics.
my folder structure..

NKS =>XP EDM 6 => previews => all files names with nksf.ogg
Presets => XP EDM 6 => all files names with .fxp
Samples => XpEDM6 => all files names with .nks

Have the icon, and everythings working... accept the preview sounds ... need to load them first.

not an easy one...I'm missing something. Will find out sooner or later.

How do you create this "split" in the piano, like the sequence is on the green and the lead is on the blue? The manual mentions it but doesn't show any way to create it

Key Zones
This allows you to set the active key range/s of the instrument/s in the preset.



SINGLE ZONE presets have a single key zone which normally takes up the entire keyboard range. However, the bottom and top shelves can be adjusted to limit the range of the presets. This can be useful to layer with other instruments.



MULTI ZONE presets have multiple key zones for different instruments. They are split over the range of the keyboard. You can adjust each zone individually and even overlap the ranges.

Keyzone ranges are reflected by the led indicators above the keyboard in NEXUS5.

You can turn individual key zones on and off using the toggle on the left-hand side. There can be up to one keyzone for each layer up to a maximum of 8. The menu at the top of the key zone group allows the number of key zones to be changed.

Fyi :
I have found some more... strangely enough these all have the same structure and all contain a folder previews in the NKS folder.
Other than that I don't see any irregularities.
Already reinstalled all of these without success. Must be a Mac thing

Think i found something... all working :

empty NKS / Folder name / no Previews (were hidden and have a file name .previews)

The non-working ones contains a Previews folder ( not hidden )

update :

All presets tested and work as they should.
Library cleaned up, ultimately the NKS folder should only contain a .previews (hidden)... containing all .nksf.ogg files.
Stupid to have overlooked this. Thanks in advance for the help amigo

Somehow it doesn't work, the programmers forgot about it.
I brought this to the attention of support and opened a ticket!

 

Hello everyone, I have a question:
Is there an overview of all IDs or is there any information on where the IDs come from or how they are generated and where I can insert them?

I have been trying for days to add an icon to old soundbanks from Nexus two that are displayed in folders in the browser.
So far I have not succeeded, I only ever see the folder symbol. Example: for Christmas 2024 the ID : 266855.

I would be very happy to receive an answer.
