Thanks I definitely need to look into that, the program isn't working like the others though. You can hold and long press a key on this one it won't work the same. It's only giving like 8th of a note acting weird.

    Read the Userguide: https://www.ujam.com/fileadmin/products/Manuals/Symphonic-Elements-STRIIIINGS-User-Guide-1.0.pdf

    Controller hardware for Symphonic Elements

    STRIIIINGS
Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS requires MIDI note input for playing and recording musical performances, and optionally Pitchbend, Modulation and Sustain Pedal data for added real-time variation.

If you have a MIDI controller (keyboard), this will be the easiest and most straightforward MIDI input method and it’s most fun as this way you control your STRIIIINGS player in real-time.

Of course, you can also control Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS by using MIDI step sequencers or by entering MIDI notes manually into MIDI tracks.

For getting to know Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS and for testing purposes, you can also use the interactive keyboard in the bottom half of the Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS window. This works best with the Latch function enabled.

Please note that whatever you play on this keyboard won’t be sent by the STRIIIINGS plugin and therefore won’t be recorded in your DAW.

    Start Playing!

Before we look at things in more depth, let’s first explore how to play Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS, as that may be all you need for now.
Let’s go through the various playing modes and how you can use them:

    ● When you press keys from C#3 upwards, STRIIIINGS will start playing a phrase with the notes you hold on the keyboard. When you release the key(s), playback will stop.
    ● When you play chords, the integrated chord detection will map the chord you played to an existing chord that’s been recorded with the orchestra.
    ● Add Bass Notes by pressing keys below C#3.
    ● MIDI notes below C#2 don’t represent musical keys but select the phrases of your player in real-time. This is a powerful way of making your performance interesting and dynamic.

When using a keyboard, combine left hand (phrase select) and right hand (notes) to build your performance. If you know these things and can switch presets, you know all you need to start producing with Symphonic Elements STRIIIINGS.

*C3 is middle C. The MIDI note number is 60. Some DAWs refer to it as C4

At the end, try to create a full backup of your system, at least create a restore point.

Imagine for a moment that you turn on your PC in the morning, the screen is frozen, the mouse pointer is dead and you drop your first cup of coffee in shock. What now, after the first minute of shock. The question is where is my backup, oh god I don't have one, install everything again!!!

man you gonna call me a dummy.. I just fixed them and they all work now

somehow I had my input on my speakers, and not AISO4ALL v2. I don't know how that happened. Maybe when I was adjusting sample rates 2-3 weeks ago

Congratulations... another problem solved...! No, you're not an idiot, it just happens.
Sometimes you click the wrong thing and sometimes you're just not fully there.

I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to show here. I don't hear any distortion, but if you expect the C1-C3 keys to play anything, you should read the manual to learn how the instrument works, because this is simply user error.

The C1 octave just picks which phrase is played on the C3-C4 octaves.
The C2 octave (bass notes) just changes which bass note is being played WHILE you are playing something on the C3-C4 octaves. If the phrase picked in C1 even has a bass section.
You're pressing notes on the C2 octave, without pressing anything else, and naturally that produces no sound, because that's not how the instrument works. Play something on C3-C4 and fiddle with C2 WHILE C3-C4 is playing.

Pick the "All Basses Must Burn" preset in the Introduction section, play something on C3-C4 and then try pressing something on C2, for an easy and very noticeable demonstration. On a lot of patches you can barely hear the bass section, or there isn't any.

I hope that clears up your issue.

This is the exact same thing that the UJAM rep told me. He said that you have to be playing the other notes to get the bass notes to play. I thought I could just click them individually. Radio told me how it worked and the UJAM rep said the same.

The distotion was the other plugins because I figured out had my 4 way internal speakers as the output and not ASIO4ALL v2
