An ENV is an envelope and if you cannot assign a target, it is not defective but not intended by the manufacturer. In short, you cannot edit everything with envelopes, and it is no different with other synthesizers. Try using the Modwhell button (bottom of the bar) instead of an ENV envelope.

 

Someone claimed earlier that you can save presets with N5 samples in a user folder and that all used samples in the preset are saved there too. This is NOT true! Only presets with your own samples are saved including all samples.

 

Not true, I can do this all day long in Serum. Assigning ENV 1 or LFO 1 to the cutoff filter has been done since the beginning of time. lol

I'm sorry I misread your message, you are correct you can NOT assign an ENV to just anything but Verwest and I can't assign ENV's at all (with the drag and drop method), it's a bug in the V.R. release.

Does the Problem with the "Preset not found" been fixed or is this a Problem with the Library itself?

I looked into this a little bit, I believe some of the N5 presets are using samples from other expansions and if you don't have that expansion you will get that error.

 

It would be very helpful if you could tell us which preset it is and even better would be a screenshot of the error!

install all xp's so far they are 229 GB + new 11 GB, and you won't have any problems.

 

Been keeping up on the progress of the updates and info for N5 thus far. Still running N4 for production...I am not convinced yet this N5 is ready for prime time. Will continue to monitor progress and once most of these preliminary bugs can be confirmed as squashed we'll give it a whirl.

 

Under: C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\reFX\Nexus\log ,it keeps sending data to the developers! How do we block this anyone has any idea?

 

I'm having problems previewing some presets. I have to Dbl click the preset to load it and hear it. Is there a proper way to fix this?

 

Block their domain in your hosts file. Block the plugin with your firewall. Or have your firewall set to deny everything except for things you manually allow and add to a whitelist.

Also, I noticed on Mac, that their installer also places a copy of the .component (AU format plugin on Mac) in your system SSD location /Users/Shared/Refx/nexus.component. I have never seen a plugin do this before that I remember. Blocking that one also...

I blocked everything you mentioned and the preview audio for certain presets is not working. Do you think I'm missing something from the NKS, Presets, Samples folders? Not sure if this makes a difference but my Old Factory Presets don't have preview sound. How is it possible when I Dbl click the preset it sounds normal but I just can't get the preview to work.

 

While it is good that you blocked everything, I meant to quote the post above yours. Firewalling everything in has nothing to do with your presets problem. Sorry about that.

 

Strange... Nexus 5 does not really work for me. I installed it as VST3 (5.1.3) with a lot of expansions and after starting it, it disovered all the expansions and everything was accessible in Ableton 11. After re-starting again all the expansions were not available anymore even after several library re-location attempts...
It also kills ableton if I want to load an init preset template. Seems to be buggy

The name of the preset in preset information in the header also does not change to the actual preset.
