Pro Tools First only

 

I don’t have a First license, so I think I should give up on working with Pro Tools. My plugins are cracked. I installed the 2024 trial version, but it doesn’t recognize most of my plugins, probably because of the legal version of Pro Tools. Version 12.5 is also really old and lacks some features.

 

The R2R 2021.7 fix won't work with PT intro, Intro uses different .dll files, Avid did it on purpose once they found out about the First workaround....

 

If you get a perpetual license for PT, you should be able to download the 2021.7 installer and just use that version with the R2R patched .dll to be able to use k'd plugins, I don't know if pro tools will bug the crap out of you to update or not, but if you have a perpetual license it's worth a shot

I want to provide information that might be useful to someone about this topic. I was doing some tests and PT R2R only works with licenses activated on the computer; it doesn't work with licenses activated on iLok Cloud. For that reason, PT R2R worked only with the PT First license and doesn't work with PT Intro or any other that has iLok Cloud activation.

Note: I haven't been able to test if it would work with an iLok USB because I don't have one. If someone could help with that test and verify whether it works or not, I would appreciate it in advance.
