I tried installing these a while back but I got this message. I just tried installing the Hit Strip plugin and got the same. I have no clue how to reset this or even if you can. I'm sure others have had the same issue. I updated all my drivers so that aint the problem.

Sorry I have no help on this, but....
... it says you don't need to be connected to the internet....
THEN LEAVE THE FUC*ING ADAPTERS OUT OF IT!!

Really, I don't get why they require no disabled adapters.

But a question comes to mind that might be helpful:
DO you have any disabled adapters?

(and , one of those weird things: I said adapters too many times in my head, and now it seems like it is not really a word, but just a bunch of letters.)

if the network adapter is disabled, it probably is not accessible for the software to get any details from it. Maybe the MAC address, etc. is being used in the process of creating your key.

Did you already try to enable to adapter it is complaining about, then re-run the installer, then re-disable the adapter?

btw, the reason some protection methods want to look for disabled network adapters; is because people will do that to force an installer into an "offline installer" mode. R2R Korg Software Pass is like that as an example, iirc.

right, lol nope I checked eveything. I think I made a mistake the first time I installed because I used the serial but then I clicked off somehow and forgot what the serial was that stored and I screwed it up. Since then they all have been doing that same thing with the activator

ah dang that makes sense, I'd like to find that Nfo and read it, It would probably make more sense. I could safe mode and go delete all the registry but I doubt that would help.

Since you are currently connected to the internet, you obviously are either connected via Wifi, or ethernet.

In which case, if you are using Wifi; you can have the hardware ethernet adapter disabled and still be online. Or you have one on your motherboard and an additional ethernet adapter. Not virtual.

You need to re-enable that hardware adapter it is looking for. That is in Windows Control Panel, or you can do these ways:
    windows, display all network adapters

    ChatGPT

To display all network adapters on a Windows system, you can use several methods depending on your preference for graphical interfaces or command-line tools. Here's how to do it:

    1. Using the Command Prompt (CMD):
    1. Open Command Prompt:
      • Press Win + R, type cmd, and press Enter.
    2. Run the following command:
      cmd
      ipconfig /all
      • This will display detailed information about all network adapters, including physical and virtual ones.
    2. Using PowerShell:
    1. Open PowerShell:
      • Press Win + R, type powershell, and press Enter.
    2. Run the following command:

      powershell
      Get-NetAdapter
      • This lists all network adapters along with their statuses.
      For detailed information:

      powershell
      Get-NetAdapter | Format-List
    3. Using Device Manager:
    1. Open Device Manager:
      • Press Win + X and select Device Manager or type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog (Win + R).
    2. Expand the Network adapters section to view all physical and virtual adapters.
    4. Using the Network Connections Window:
    1. Open Network Connections:
      • Press Win + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter.
    2. This window lists all active and inactive network adapters.
    5. Using Settings:
    1. Open Settings (Win + I).
    2. Navigate to Network & Internet.
    3. Under Advanced network settings, select Change adapter options to see all network adapters.

I'm not sure why that one shows an error on it or what it's even for.

It's likely integrated on your mobo. The Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is a hardware component integrated into many computers. It is essentially a network interface card (NIC) that manages wired Ethernet connections. Here's a breakdown:

    Key Features:
    1. Manufacturer: Realtek, a well-known producer of networking and audio chips.
    2. Connection Type: It uses a PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) interface to connect to the motherboard.
    3. Ethernet Support:
      • GBE stands for "Gigabit Ethernet," indicating that it supports data transfer rates of up to 1 Gbps (Gigabit per second).
      • It is compatible with lower speeds like 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps, ensuring versatility.
    4. Family Controller: The term "family" refers to a series of Ethernet controllers with similar capabilities but tailored for different setups, such as desktops, laptops, or embedded systems.
You can probably safely remove it from Windows altogether. Then nothing will see it, but remember to also prevent automatic reinstallation.:

To remove the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller from Windows, follow these steps:

    Method 1: Using Device Manager
    1. Open Device Manager:
      • Press Win + X and select Device Manager, or search for it in the Start menu.
    2. Locate the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller:
      • Expand the Network adapters section.
      • Look for Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller in the list.
    3. Uninstall the Device:
      • Right-click on the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller and select Uninstall device.
      • In the confirmation dialog box, check the option for Delete the driver software for this device (if available).
      • Click Uninstall.
    4. Restart Your Computer:
      • After uninstalling, restart your computer. Windows might automatically reinstall the driver upon reboot if it detects the hardware.
Method 2: Using Control Panel or Settings (Optional for Software Removal)
    1. Open Programs and Features:
      • Press Win + R, type appwiz.cpl, and press Enter.
      • Alternatively, go to Settings > Apps.
    2. Look for Realtek Software:
      • In the list of installed programs, look for anything related to Realtek Ethernet Controller or Realtek Network Adapter.
    3. Uninstall the Software:
      • Select the software and click Uninstall.
Method 3: Prevent Automatic Reinstallation (Optional)
If you don’t want Windows to reinstall the Realtek driver automatically after you uninstall it:

    1. Disable Automatic Driver Updates:
      • Press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl, and press Enter.
      • Go to the Hardware tab and click Device Installation Settings.
      • Select No (your device might not work as expected) and click Save Changes.
    2. Disable the Device in BIOS (if applicable):
      • Restart your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
      • Look for a setting related to the onboard network controller and disable it.
Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!

Worth the headache? Probably. I do like this channel strip quite a bit already, although the EQ is another Pro-Q3 clone. And BDE.

Windows has detected the interface is there and it does not have the correct software installed for it to work correctly. Or you disabled it incorrectly, or something like that. It is not functioning, but the TurboActivate program can see it listed by Windows. Forcing an installer to use "offline activation" is a common method, but blocking internet temporarily is very easy. So they want to see that the network card has not been disabled, which would of course cause the machine to appear offline. That check is 100% anti-piracy.

it is your problem. The installer is looking for disabled network interfaces using ipconfig or hwinfo, whatever. I do not use Windows. If you enable that interface or remove it so even Windows does not detect the hardware, your plugin will install. Read that error message you got again with this in mind. It will make more sense.

Oh wow ok, someone was talking about the same thing awhile back on here, but it wasn't labeled as DJ swivel on the thread. I can't find that thread, but they were talking about the activator and I think they were trying to ask R2R.

Sweet I disabled that driver and it worked. Wow thanks I didn't know that would affect it.
