Good luck trying to do a "good record" of classical music using anything that is not a pair of speakers. Also good luck translating it into anything too

 

as long as your speakers (or headphones) are decent and don't fart (blow out) at certain frequencies or volume levels, you can make beautiful music on them.

 

If I put well mixed classical music into my headphones, then I know how well mixed classical music is supposed to sound like. Any serious engineer will also check their mixes, may it be from headphones to speakers or speakers to headphones. Hard to understand all this crying over some pair of speakers mounted in your head instead of your walls.

 

Nah, you really don't. You see - you began talking now about a tandem, about profs using speakers AND headphones together. But you clearly don't know a thing about how is classical music mixing structured, what are the requirements to room and speakers for good translation.

And to stop you from manipulating with words, I'll repeat more clearly: try to make a classical record translate well into a smartphone speaker or car sound system. You will probably will 'know' how it should sound then, right?

No, the Yamaha monitor speakers HS5S and HS8S are good. They sound really neutral and clean which monitor speakers should. They are well built and last over time. At the beginning they might sound flat if you are not used to listen to that kind of speakers.

Someone has to say it, that unless your tune is aimed at every single streaming site on the market, there is a high possibility some people will end up hearing it on 1/2" shitty phone speakers or badly EQ'd cheap phone headphones. Having incredible speakers is nice, but all the greatest engineering in the world won't save you from a horrible listening device.
