In 2024/2025, is there such software? In my case, I generate melodies in my noodle that I can translate into notes via Melodyne, etc., but then struggle to harmonize them with chords -> to chord progressions. I realize Melodyne takes a stab at this, but it's not working out.

give Lemonaide a try. not sure if theres a way to import a melody and have it create chords, but it is super useful to get some ideas started when you feel creatively stunted

Try the opposite.. generating melodies from chords...different workflow, then there's a few vst's to do this :winker:

Can I import a melody into Scaler 2 and have it analyze and suggest chords?

Any chance you've come upon a YouTube or other vid that demonstrates this? If this feature works well, that might be the answer.

Well you obviously know the key of your melody, so that's a start then mess about with minor/major chords which sound right! basics first then add more advance chords after or harmonize

Yeah, maybe I'm just being lazy or not trusting my ears. I know all of the chord options. I guess it's just a matter of trying them one by one. I was just hoping that an app would make some suggestions to help me narrow down and simplify my process.

The more I study music theory and harmonization, the more I think it's overly and unnecessarily complex. I need to figure out a simple, yet powerful way to compose strong chord progressions.

Are you a musician or a technician? If you're looking for programs like this, then you are a computer programmer. Learn how to play music. I promise you that the musicians here could figure out the chords to a melody in a few seconds. Don't mean to sound harsh and I know people have produced edm music this way but that's the way I feel.

I'm looking for some assistance with constructing chords to my melodies. I have had enough success in the music biz over the years to justify my continued efforts. Not every musician is great at harmonizing melodies. The way I feel about your comment . . . .
I feel you shouldn't post on threads that you have nothing constructive to contribute. The title of this thread is:
