I don't think you need to ENABLE(!) SIP, just install like it is written in the PDF.

I am not a fan of windows OR macos but I use windows because it's less hassle. Been using Team V.R. for the stein stuff for years on the PC side and never had any problems. There have been bugs in many stein-warez from the OEM side but I experienced none due to a cracked version.

AS I said this has been my experience - less hassle, but still hassle. Windows is a POS yes. So is appleOS. However, with windows one has options to be able to remake the POS into something semi usable. With the appleOS's you don't have those options. If there are there apple options they are few/limited.

As far as the steiny stuff goes on PC at least with R2R you're messing about with emulators and cert's (almost as wacky as the apple side). With TeamV.R. you install the OEM mediabay, the OEM activator, <insert name of SB product here>, extras (if any), then run the V.R. auth. DONE. Once you have one steiny product installed any subsequent ones requires only a single run of the V.R. auth, and DONE. It doesn't get much easier.

Codesign any vst/component:

In my case it was Autotune.

1.Remove extended attributes: xattr -rc /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Auto-Tune\ Pro.vst3


2.Check for file integrity: ls -l@ /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Auto-Tune\ Pro.vst3


This will list extended attributes (@ after the file details). If any non-standard attributes are shown, you can remove them with xattr.


3.Try signing the file again: codesign --force --deep --sign "Apple Development: [email protected] (xxxxxxxxxx)" /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Auto-Tune\ Pro.vst3


4.Check the contents of the VST3 bundle : cd /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Auto-Tune\ Pro.vst3/Contents/MacOS/

ls


If there’s an executable file (e.g., Auto-Tune Pro), you can sign it separately: codesign --force --sign "Apple Development: [email protected] (xxxxxxxxxx)" /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Auto-Tune\ Pro.vst3/Contents/MacOS/Auto-Tune\ Pro


5. Verify the signature: codesign --verify --deep --strict /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Auto-Tune\ Pro.vst3

 

thanks mate, its working perfectly with SIP enable.. but it took me long enough to notice that textedit rich text screw up the codesign prompt by auto correcting " and -

Thanks for this ! I managed to get Wavelab to work on M1 Pro Ventura. Only hiccup is that I had to install 12.0.30 (VR) first then 12.0.40 (U2B) over it and then proceed with the terminal commands. for some reasons installing 12.0.40 directly did not install the license parts of the files in application support ( the ones we target in the terminal commands).

it says one year in the keychain - so it might be that we need to redo the terminal commands one year from now ?

Is SIP really that important?
Usually it's the first thing I get rid of. Not even for something special. Just because I'm not too fond of my OS declaring something wanted or unwanted.
Windows does the same lately, and it's even harder there to patch out than switching off SIP on mac.

 

I did everything correctly and was finally able to open cubase without disabling SIP... BUT... once it opened it keeps asking me to sign in... how to I get past this? Thanks for all your hard work with this, by the way!
