    Hey everyone

I've been experimenting with a few reverb plugins lately and wanted to ask for some recommendations. I’ve tried Vintage Verb but honestly, it didn’t quite work for me. I’m currently eyeing Pro-R2 from FabFilter and considering giving it a try.

I’m looking for something versatile, with a clean, musical sound that can handle everything from subtle space to more dramatic effects. Any suggestions on reverb plugins you’ve had success with? I’d love to hear about your experiences, especially if you’ve used something similar to what I’m looking for.

    Thanks in advance!

    Maybe something like XenoVerb?

Personally I'm all Valhalla, so yeah.

Can't go wrong with Fabfilter Pro-R2, it's very versatile.

One of my go-to Reverbs, although I use different plugins.
    My personal favourites are
Pro-R2, ArtsAcoustic Reverb, and sometimes Slate Digital Verbsuite, with the Bricasti IRs (although I sometimes change it to Seventh Heaven).

If you wanna go really crazy with reverb,
Eventide Blackhole and Valhalla Supermassive may be a good choice.

And to some people Baby Audio's Crystalline is an underrated one, haven't tried it tho.

I initially used "Waves - H-Reverb (Hybrid Reverb)" and was very happy with the sound except for the usability, but then I switched to "FabFilter - Pro R2" and it is the only reverb I currently use. I have no plans to change and I am not waiting for a new invention.

Would recommend you checking out Seventh Heaven, one of the few reverb sounds which I feel is not easily replicable through Pro-R2 etc.

FF Pro-R2 for versatility and future-proofing.
Valhalla VintageVerb or AudioDamage EOS, because I love these devs even more.

If you have money burning a hole in your pocket strymon has the big sky reverb in plugin form, exact same as their pedal. Sounds awesome. Not available on sister site, ilok. Besides the price and ilok it's great, my go to. Don't have buyers remorse which is rare for me.

Think there is a demo/trial of it on their site

Fabfilter Pro-R2 is versatile, and major change over first Pro-R is, it can load IRs and create curve parameters from them (so it can work as kind of parametric IR loader too),
Bricasti IRs and Lexicon IRs are nice indeed,
Seventh Heaven is proven yet quite expensive Bricasti emulation, especially compared to new Wave Alchemy Magic7 which is free

You have not mentioned anything about the reverb you are actually looking for. If you are more specific, you will get more tailored suggestions. You should be able to find all but the UVI ones to test them out yourself.

Logic Space Designer and Chromaverb. Stock and they are great, and since they are actually part of Logic you get especially good performance.
I like Pro-R, but I often replace it later.

Audioease Altiverb 7. Because I do not have v8 yet.
    Arturia LX24. It's a Lexicon 224 emulation.
Relab LX 480. It is a Lexicon 480 emulation.
Native Instruments Reverb Classics, RC-24 and RC-48. 2 more Lexicon inspired reverbs, coded by Softube for NI.
    Bettermaker BM60
    D16 Group Toraverb
    Baby Audio Crystalline
    UVI Sparkverb and Plate
    PSP PianoVerb, EasyVerb, Lexicon PSP42.
Kilohearts Khs Reverb simple and light.
    Tal G-Verb
Lexicon PCM, LXP, and MPX bundles. But I do not think you will get these working easily.
    Soundtoys Little Plate (free)
    Acustica Ebony - another plate
Wave Alchemy Magic 7 (free Bricasti M7 inspired). This is possibly the best free reverb I have ever tried.
Most in Waves are great, but I do not use Waves at all anymore.

I feel like Mod Sound's VelvetVerb is one of the most underrated reverbs out there, and a perfect match for you if you're looking for "something versatile, with a clean, musical sound that can handle everything from subtle space to more dramatic effects" :

It has 4 very different algos that will cover realistic room and hall reverb, as well as plate and crazier effects similar to Eventide's Blackhole. It uses velvet noise convolution technology to create reverb, so it's a very clean sound.
