RIP Colin Peterson (The Bee Gees) died on 18.11.2024

Peterson started his career in Australia as a (child) actor, but as a teenager he was increasingly drawn to music. He played in a few local bands and in 1967 became the drummer for the Bee Gees, which included the Gibb brothers.

At that time, the Gibbs' accompanying musicians were still considered permanent band members and the drummer played on the albums "Spicks And Specks" (1966), "Bee Gees' 1st" (1967), "Horizontal" and "Idea" (both 1968) and "Odessa" (1969). In 1969, good old Colin left the combo (he could still be heard on "Cucumber Castle", released in 1970) and founded the folk rock band Humpy Bong. From 1974 onwards, however, things became noticeably quieter around him. Rest in peace, Colin.
