I own ableton 12 edu and Logic pro x i am going to sell one of them but which

How exactly would you sell Logic? Hand someone your Apple account password? And the buyer would have to abandon their own Apple account and use yours?

(I suppose they'd get all your other Apple apps and data as a bonus extra...)

I would recommend you selling Logic but I think that would not be easy, if possible at all.

 

I'm not sure there is a big market for used educational versions of Ableton. Compared with Logic, every new version of Ableton is educational. When you have to pay again, you should learn something from it.

 

Why would you give up something that is perfectly useful and, for which you have a perpetual license? I Do not get the logic there...

You can't sell (or better call it "license transfer") any Apple software that is tied to your Apple ID at all. Although there are countries like Germany where you have the right to resell any product, and I'd really be interested how this would work out, but I assume in the end only the lawyers would get some money out of it.

Don't know about Ableton, but I assume any "edu" software that was bought using an educational discount can't be resold also.

Both and buy Reaper. If you have to choose, sell Live . . . they will have a new version each year to suck your money dry. At least Apple won't do that with Logic . . . yet, you'll need to keep your Mac up-to-date. ;-)

 

I own live 10 suite and haven't spent a cent on another version just never saw the point of it I own FL studio signature bundle and 10 suite if you own FL always something new for free which is pretty dope

Edu versions have to be reactivated after the license runs out each year you have to renew it a perpetual license means you own it outright

You have all the time in the world. That's total BS, Ableton does not require EDU licenses to be 'reactivated' every year. It's the same as buying a full license, you just need student or teacher credentials to get it. Aside from that, it's the same software as everyone else uses.

Why would you sell Logic which comes with free future update.
