Interesting. Since a long time I am looking for a small pedal for my guitar board doing exactly this. Gate is secondary to me, as I rarely use high gain and feel no need. Not only for compressing, I just like how the guitar tone cleans up, high passing it a bit. I like my EQ pedal last in chain and having it doing some other things than just filtering low end. A really simple high pass filter would be nice, like there are so many little boost (maybe +buffer option) pedals.

Do you know such a solution? I have a Vermona Filter Lancet, which is great handling the purpose, but it is too big (which means too much space on pedal board) and has too many options, I'm not into having on my board.

[Edit] Ok, let me google this for myself ... of course there are solutions :bleh:
    Found this for example: https://www.broughtonaudio.com/product-page/high-pass-filter

If there are any tipps, I'm thankful anyways

I can't imagine what the issue is. In over 50 years I've never had any issue with the sound of my guitars, from the old analog tape studios in the past to the digital ones today. One thing that I find indispensable on my modified guitars is the Fender TBX Tone control, to my ears it makes an unbelievable difference. Let him use less reverb or even none, and see if that changes things. Apart from that good luck.

Nope, that's a shelf. You'll need the one on the far right, the cut (you can see the 12dB in the pic).
