Just wanting your opinions on the Antares Mic Mod plugin?

I have also purchased antares mic mod and the latest version is distributed on another site, but I do not recommend it.

First of all, antares has no reference mic, and even if it did, it is a toy-like capture. The tube sounds are simply EQ and comp boosted.

The performance of the reference mic is critical. A modeling plug-in dedicated to a microphone that is in production and of consistent quality, such as Antelope Audio's Edge Solo, Axino Synergy Core, Universal Audio SC-1（Condenser Modeling Only）, or SD-1（Dynamic Modeling Only）, for example, will provide nearly uniform modeling without variation. modeling can be done without any variation.

Please consider these plug-ins with Modeling Mics. or Real Microphones.

 

That plugin has been a joke since it came out years ago - period!!

It was bad in 2002 or something when I tried it. Never touched it since, so I can't really comment on it (if they ever did improvements on it).
Edit: oh, it was 2000. 24+ friggin years ago.

 

Yeah, last I touched this was in the late 90's, and it was a joke then, and from what I know, remains one.
