Alright, and what happens when you double left click with your mouse on a VSTi? Without dragging it, just clicking right on the name of a VSTi?

 

Maybe he has selected an Audio track and tries to drop the plugin in the "empty space" below the tracks, which then is the plugin chain of the selected Audio track. That would be an explanation.

Live 12 Lite - Version 12.1.1 - Windows - 64 Bit with Parawave - Rapid VST3
I tested Rapid, it works without errors, see attached pictures.

1.) Load Ableton DAW --> File - New Live Set
2.) Go to Plugins --> Parawave --> Rapid
3.) Mark Rapid and Select Rapid and drag it into the lower free area of the DAW
(Drop an Instrument or Sample Here)

While holding down the mouse button, drag the plugin into the free area!!!

 

I think I know waht you did:
1. You dragged a plugin with the mouse on an Audio track
2. Then you released the mouse button while you are over the audio track
3. and in the end you doubleclicked on the Falcon plugin
4. wich creates the last track (Falcon) as a midi track

This way I can reproduce the outcome.

But what you should do is dragging falcon more to the right into the empty space named :

Just follow what Radio has said.

I have just tried my Parawave in Ableton Suite 12.1.1 and no issues at all, loads up just as it always has.

Falcon loads without any issues also.

As others have said there are two Parawave plugins make sure you are trying to load the correct one.

 

The OnMouseOver event is fired as soon as the mouse is positioned over the audio slot with a VSTi dragged and mouse button pressed. The error message should therefore end as soon as the mouse button is released (MouseUp event when no longer hovering over Audio track with dragged VSTi).

I would not really call it an error but a misbehaviour.



Not an error, because placing Falcon in a (newly created) MiDiTrack works as intended.
Misbehaviour because the error is shown even after Falcon is placed correctly in a MiDi Slot

the fact is that i used to be able to drop vst instruments into the blank space to the right of the tracks nowadays for no reason i cant do it anymore tried reinstalling multiple versions , nothing works , welp ableton lost 270 dollars from me horrible tech support this is unforgivable please if you are considering buying ableton dont do it they dont deserve a dollar

 

Is that how people argue today? If you have a problem with a product, the whole company, all of your employees and users are to blame. You write "terrible support"! As we found out, you only had a lite version and therefore no support for Ableton.

Stop projecting your problems onto others, you can't even read that anymore. It's always someone else's fault.

The fact is:
Millions of Ableton users have no problems.
Ableton is one of the best digital audio workstations in the world.

 

I dont know man this is touching my gears honestly this isnt aimed at you but at the fact that of 8 billion plus people in the world this has to happen to me and ableton gives 0 f**** about new customers as they have already demonstrated to me im not giving a dollar to ableton ever in my life

There are many other people who feel the same way, things that don't work just make life difficult. You have to quickly look for an alternative or download an older version of Ableton, you can do that from Ableton, I downloaded Ableton for Windows and so far Ableton has worked fine, also if you don't want to give up. But you have to log in first https://www.ableton.com/de/download/archive/ Live 12 Lite Version 12.0.25 or Live 11 Lite Version 11.3.35! If you don't feel like it anymore, try Studio One.

 

I tried downloading an older versionof live 12 the problem still happens this is sad i was really excited to buy standart this christmas i will stop making music nothing comes close to ableton live 12

 

Serious question, are you trolling? I can’t tell. Twoheart pointed out what you do wrong so that this error occurs and you don’t even answer him. Besides that there are other ways to add a VSTi, like creating a midi track (which is like 1 second with the shortcut) and then double click on the plug-in.

 

I feel the same. I would understand the frustration if PROM could't fire up a VSTi at all, but he does so what's the problem? A little glitch that manifest itself in form of a message so frcking what? Just ignore it

 

lets all take a moment and appreciate that this kid wasnt around when FL studio was still fruity loops and had just completely changed the arrangement window, the meltdown would've be worse then tsjernobyl

 

sadly im not trolling this just randomly happened and there's no way to fix it ableton made clear they dont care about possible customers im very dissapointed

 

It's annoying it breaks the aesthethic of the program and it didnt happen before to me the worst is that ableton doesnt give a f***

 

Never used fl studio but if the error is comparable to this then i would sure get mad
